Ok, here's my thing. I won't go into the wrap thing just the consistency of punching power. Let's look at the Paul Williams fight since it did not end in a knock out and Margarito lost yet during this time he was supposedly loading his gloves. By the look of this fight one could think that Margarito didn't have a lot of punching power since he never really hurt Williams. Part of this is how long it takes Margarito to start finding his spots, alot has to do with Williams' punch output folding Margarito up with volume. I remember a left hook which finally caught Williams when Margarito started coming on strong but too little too late. Fast forward to the Manny fight. Manny himself said Margarito was a beast and it was his hardest fight, as far as being physically gruelling. The body shot Margarito caught Pac with in the 6th could have been thrown back when he was supposedly loading, it was that devastating a shot. Pac went to the hospital to check his ribs to make sure nothing was broken. Next is Cotto rematch. You can see that Margarito still has power by the way he keeps Cotto on the backfoot. When Margarito does land, it hurts. You can see it on Cotto's face. So how did he lose power? Could it be his opponents don't let him land as much as other opponents more tailor made for him? When Mosley got hit by Margarito to the body the first time he said he told himself that the body punch hurt badly and from round 1 on he had to make sure Margarito did not land such a shot again. Mosley said this immediately after the fight, before the controversy steamrolled.

The inconsitency in my opinion is picking parts of the fights post controversy as worthy of attention and other parts (like Margarito can still pop) as unworthy.

The more threads I read the more I realize the majority of this board just hates Margarito, always had, and that it doesn't matter what someone says, they just want him to go away.
