during a time when the welterweight division was RED HOT. You had an undefeated Cotto, Margarito, Paul Williams, and Shane Mosley still had a lot left. Did Floyd feel insecure about fighting these bigger guys? He came back 2 years later looking huge and muscular. And up until that point he fought very few legit welters. There's Hatton (career 140 lb), Baldomir, Judah (career 140 lb), and bunch of no namers like Sharmba Mitchell.

His comeback came at the perfect time: Cotto had lost to Margo, Margo got annihilated by Shane, Paul Williams moved up to 154, and the WW division was quiet again. He takes on a career featheweight (JMM), blows him up to 144 and still manages to avoid the catchweight. Then all of a sudden a little asian fella known as Pacquiao starts tearing up the division and then Floyd goes back to vacation again :patsch :rofl:rofl:lol::lol:

Well, no matter what happens, in the future when people speak of Floyd this will be brought up.

Floyd has really become the most blatantly obvious cherry picker ever since he fought De La Hoya. I guess once he got to the money he lost his urge to challenge himself ever again.

Once all this Pac - Floyd hoopla goes away , people will look back and see this for what it is. There's a gap of about 5 or so years where Floyd didn't fight a hell of a lot of top fighters. That's the bottom line when it gets down to it. People dont care about the excuses, you either fought the best or you didn't. Floydie didn't fight the best, and the history books will show that.

Ever since marquez beat pac you have lost your god damn mind, you becoming esb new pekpek.

And what does cotto losing to margo and margo losing to mosley have to do with anything? Anyone with a brain would work out that floyd isn't fighting any top rank fighter and for good reason considering the bitter blood between floyd and arum. The only reason he considering to fight pac is because of the huge money involved.

The fact that floyd came back and beat marquez at WW the same marquez who just beat pac at WW speaks volumes. The fact that he came back and beat mosley the guy who beat magarito by KO is pretty solid work. Not to mention beating the guy who just beat undefeated berto to win his championship belt.:deal

Floyd's resume at welter is a big steaming turd, and everybody knows it. He didnt fight any of the very best fighters.. except Mosley who old and dried up by then. There's no need to defend Floyd on this one.

So margo is the very best, but got KO'd by mosley who mayweather fought next

Cotto is the very best but got his **** pushed in by margarito

There is only 2 elite fighters at WW, mayweather and Pac. Pac just lost to marquez. So i guess there 3 now.

Yeah .. thats how it works in boxing. You fight the best, and one guy loses. It's convenient when you can just retire and let everybody else do the fighting for you. :nut:patsch

He has a point about Top Rank... Boxing needs something like the UFC.. it needs to become like all other sports -- no promoters like this, it ruins possibilities.

Blame it all on Arum / Top RAnk :patsch What a convenient excuse. Ya I bet Floyd tried so hard to make those fights with Cotto, Margarito and others and just decided to retire instead :patsch

Last time I checked it was floyd who fought de la hoya, hatton, marquez, mosley, ortiz.

Just tell esb why you really mad. The world watch pac bring up a lightweight to WW and got his ass kicked, that's why your really mad. The fact that you can't change anyone opinion on the fight is killing you burning you up inside, you want to take your anger out on floyd but why? You should be blaming your hero for not improving like he said he had.:rofl

i didnt say blame it ALL on arum, but why give money to hes previous promoter who him owed money, and talk **** about him. its not ducking.... or is it because its "floyd" its ducking?

arum offered him to fight, marg, hatton, and cotto. floyd wanted more guaranteed money(since arum owed him money already). arum couldnt provide the amount he wanted so he took off and fought dlh for the biggest ppv yet, then he fought hatton... he didnt fight cotto and margarito..wonder why..
