If it that easy why hasn't anyone been successful at it? You sound like a ******ed fan boy. How does it feel to watch your hero get beat by marquez?
Please Tazo, what good is studying Mayweather fight tapes against other fighters going to do Roach when he had the luxury of studying fight tapes of Pacquiao's two previous fights with Marquez the fighter who Pac was actually going to face? Roach studied two previous fight tapes of Marquez vs Pacquiao, and his fighter actually was less competitive in fight 3. Pacquiao did'nt really land a great telling blow the whole fight in fight 3 vs Marquez.
The right style or perfect style to beat Floyd would be a prime Margarito or Williams. The style Manny will have to use to beat Floyd would be to fight similar to how Hatton did with regard to strategy, and to rely on his chin and his ability to use angles (something Hatton couldn't do). I think if Hatton gave Floyd trouble then Manny will give Floyd trouble. Floyd knocked Hatton out but if that fight would have gone 12 rounds it would have been a split decision victory for Floyd. Against Manny I could easy see Manny seriously hurting Floyd and winning rounds that way even if he can't outbox him over 12. Hatton didn't have the power to hurt Floyd.
I wouldn't say easily. People list the things you have to do against Pacquiao like it's a grocery shopping list. "Just move to his right and control the distance and anticipate his rushes and counter-punch him with a straight right and parry his shots and punish him on the inside and attack his body and feint him and keep him off balance and stick him with the jab and move your head and just straight box him!" It's harder than it looks. Hence only a few have been able to do it, each time with Pac proving to be competitive.
Floyd makes better use of angles. Mosley didn't make good use of angles fighting a southpaw. When you duck you don't duck your chin right into a southpaws power.
Also Roach has already had two goes at Floyd and came up short in both. The only advantage that Marquez has over Floyd is that Marquez throws more combinations. Gander doesn't understand that Floyd makes adjustments and if he needs to give movement then he will. Manny has to cover more ground and Floyd stepping back is a lot faster than old man Mosley.
I believe Marquez is less predictable in the way he adjusts. Mayweather may be able to give more looks coming forwards, going backwards, or chillin in the pocket, but he does so fighting in a few of the same modes. He's hardly predictable in the ring, but his weaknesses are more glaring than Marquez's (probably because he's so defensively sound the rest of the time, and they stand out more.) Plus, Marquez knows better than Pacquiao knows himself. Mayweather may figure him out, but Marquez could have written a book on Pacquiao by their 3rd encounter. But does he use angles better than Marquez? I haven't seen it, and that's where I'm not sold on the premise that Mayweather can control Pac easily.
i rewatched ortiz vs floyd and floyd murdered ortiz with the straight right. too fast, crisp, and accurate. pac wouldn't move away from jmm's right. he needs to do this if he wants the fight with floyd to be more competitive.
UMM What Hatton fight did you see? If it would have gone 12 rounds it would have been a UD easy. 8 rounds 4. Trying to walk Floyd down the way Margarito does would just play right into Floyd's hands brah.
LOL, what fight were you watching........Hatton had maybe two rounds AT BEST and thats it, he got completely dominated, split decision my ass. Pac ain't hurting Floyd, FACT, when was the last time he Ko'ed someone ? He has ok power at WW thats it, he hit chinney Cotto and Brickfist with everything but the kitchensink and one did not go anywhere and the other one was a referee stoppage at the end of the fight. Prime Margerito would trouble FMJ, lol, that is the most ******ed thing I have heard in a long time, he is a clubfighter with size and very limited skills......... Paul Williams ain't got the brains to focus for 12 plus he fights way to open and up close for his size, his only defense is his chin plus if you get outslapped by Quitana who hit him with the same punch over and over and over again with no adjustments from tells you right there that he is not beating FMJ. Pac vs FmJ will be a letdown, I have said it for years, I see a Hatton type beating coming.....with Manny getting stopped because he will force the KO while lunging in all reckless, busted up and frustrated.
Watch any of his fights including the one with Marquez and you will see that Floyd uses angles better.
Since you your reading comprehension isn't quite where it should be, I'll make it less confusing for you. To be exact, he said: "We were working on this game plan before" "I will come up with a game plan to beat this guy." There's nothing confusing or contradictory about those statements for you to be all ':huh'. All he's saying is that had been "working" (meaning a job that hadn't been finished) on a gameplan before, and that eventually when they fight, he will "come up" (meaning he'll complete that job he had been "working" on) with a final one. There, it wasn't all that difficult, was it? :good
