    Anyone looking forward to this?

I can't wait! Does anyone rate Froch a chance?

Odds are about 1.30 to Ward and 3.25 to Froch.

    Odds are about right.

Really hoping Froch can pull something out here, but can't see any other result than a Ward UD. I think it will be a bit of a borefest to be honest, just like every Ward fight. Put your house on a Ward decision.

I don't understand your betting system Dom but if that's anything around 2-1 or above then have a cheeky tonne on it mate , this fight is going to turn into a right royal brawl we have all seen the tactics Andre resorts to when things ain't going his way ( v Kessler ) nowt wrong with that either but whereas Mikkel couldn't cope with that style of fighting then Carl has the ability to get onto that gig , don't go mad just a oner and if the fight pans out like I think it will you will then be downing a few .:good

Yeah, you kind of get the impression Ward is going to make Froch look second rate, but I reckon he's better than that. A Ward decision makes sense.

Josey, $1.30 for Ward means for a hundred bucks you get $130 back. $325 back for Froch for the same bet - decent value.

I hope it turns into a brawl and we see the best of both fighters. They have clearly been the ones to watch in the tournament.

If Froch wins, how would you compare him to Calzaghe?

A win over Ward would arguably be bigger than any of his wins.

Thanks for explaining the bet Dom and yes a brawl is Carls only chance , Dirrell beat ( too quick for Carl ) and I see Ward having similar sucsess if Froch fights like that ,

The thing with Calzaghe v Froch fight would-be Joe would brawl with Carl for the first three rounds all Macho like but then would eventually adopt plans B, C etc and cruise to a decent UD I reckon .

I reckon you're on the money there!

Unless we see a different version of Froch on the weekend.

I rate Froch highly, from the Pascal fight onwards, he hasn't taken an easy fight at all.

I'm really looking forward to this fight, I have a feeling Froch will pull of the win. I have yet to see Ward fight, however so I don't really know his style, apart from all I've read on him.

I clearly recall when people on here thought Froch was ordinary and that Mundine would beat him. L O ****in L. There isn't someone with a harder resume in boxing in the last 3 or so years than The Cobra.

Hope Froch can pull out the upset victory but i predict 117-111 type decision for Ward. If Froch can somehow force a war out of this and apply effective pressure he is as live a dog as anyone at 168.

If only more boxers had the resume of Froch and feared no one whether its home or abroad.

Agreed! I dip my lid to him. Ward might whip him but I'd still respect him more than most. A throw back fighter.

Froch has turned me into a fan, I agree Ippy, win lose or draw, he has earned my respect and admiration.

You have to respect Carl Froch but imo Ward wins this quite comfortably on points.
