    Hopkins said that he would accept this fight to take place at 170 pounds catch weight .

    Tbh I don't see any problem for Bute to move up at 175 pounds for this fight .
    Bute is a big SMW fighter !!

    does bute have the work rate, hand speed to hand cuff bhop like calzaghe did?

    think id favour bernard to take it old school and make it ugly and pull off an sd

    does seem odd that dawson could win and not get the belts, surely he'd have decent grounds for appeal or to sue wbc in that case?

    that fight has been such a ****ing mess, would have been so much better for everybody if it didnt happen

    Now that's a lot braver as I expected.
    Yes, but his current status is @168 and he hasn't boxed at 175 for a very very long time now.... Plus 168 is the place to be at the moment, 175 is considered quite weak nowadays.

    Calzaghe lost with Hopkins imo . Bute has those attributes to beat Hopkins :yep.

    168 is more exciting div than 175 , i agree with you but at 175 are some good names / draws as Hopkins and Pascal for Bute ...... $$$$:D

    Apparently Hopkins is contracted for one more fight on HBO whilst Bute is contracted to one more on Showtime ...

    Isn't the hearing this week? The commission still have to rule, IIRC.

    for 2012 Bute has with Showtime an agreement for two fights , one in the spring ( april,may ? ) and one in the autumn ( september ? ) .
