He has only had three fights with Margarito and two of those were against way better opposition. Besides Rios and Donaire he also trains a few prospects and amateurs.
To be honest with you, Kirkland doesn't impress me at all. Other than his power and heart, there's nothing about him which makes me think Wolfe has done a good job. A world class boxer will prove this when he faces him. He's got a stiff test against Molina next, and it'll be interesting to see how he handles him.
Garcia doesn't deserve trainer of the year. Margarito and Rios has **** all for skill, I'm pretty sure Garcia is just teaching him to build up stamina and keep throwing his punches. He'll end up like Margarito is now only sooner. Donaire is the only one that's any good, and he was before Robert touched him. And his corner advice is non-existant

Ann Wolfe has Kirkland living in a shack with a TV on paint buckets because he has discipline problems and she built what she calls a 10x10 on rye for crying out loud! She better be trainer of the year. :rofl
How could you not be impressed with his performance over AA and his rapid improvement over this year? I saw skill and patience in that ring that night. People say AA punched himself out but Kirkland clearly outboxed him and did it a lot better than Cintron did. I think no one has had a more positive impact on their scribe than Anne on Kirkland. I agree that james is a work in progress . . . but seriously who isnt besides PBF, Bhop and Toney (who is ready for the glue factory) (Perhaps donaire?). Hell even Pac has kinks in his armor that they still have to work on.
Rios, lost his belt on the scale because Garcia didnt do his job and Tony defended his eye with his face . . . no plan to defend that and no adjustment when it started to swell

Jeez, why all the hate man? Also, her daughter is like 17. It's not as if there isn't time to learn. I'm also not sure why people are discounting Garcia because Margarito lost. Dude was in great shape for the fight. You can't train an eye, and everyone knew that would be an issue coming into the fight.
