Good to see, it seems like GBP has done some promoting of this card and it seems to have paid off. Win or lose the Petersons and Mitchell should consider fighting on a card together in D.C again in the future.
Shame petersons **** and hasn't got a prayer of winning. The DC blacks have sold this out for Lamont. Not Amir why do you think they did it in Washington? Coz there wasn't a market for it anywhere else. Crap fight to be honest.
George Kimball 2010 "Since Khan, facing a new York fighter in new york, could draw only 4420 customers to the 5800 seat theatre " Is 5k sell something you're estimating or something you saw somewhere? By the way, I'm not trying to **** on Khan, he is an entertaining fighter I enjoy watching
If this info is true then some of my posters on my thread will be suprized. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=359885&page=7 Rico Spadafora - ticket sales have been awful which is not a shocker. Nobody in the States cares or wants to see Khan fight. Alien replied to Rico - Do you have any figures on this? I know Khan couldn't even sell out the small room at MSG and in the Judah fight it was like a ghost town. GBP thought they were getting another Hatton with Khan but it's not working. ----- I like how the chincheckers make up thier own little judgements, how they interact with one another lol and above all are content in thier own little world. Good for them.
Khan is gaining recognition he has an exciting style that people like. Either way you look at it, its good for boxing. On his US debut Khan had way more fans at MSG than Malignaggi in how own backyard. I wouldn't be surprised if Khan has more fans than Peterson in DC.
Malignaggi was NOT a 50-50. I was at the fight, it significantly pro Khan, so much so that it seemed like Malignaggi was fighting Khan in his backyard. And judging by the audience cheering for Khan like you said, Maidana and Judah fights were also pro-Khan.
A little information for those who dont know. DC is chocalate city and them brothers and sisters is gonna support one of thier own. Its not Khan selling out the arena, Its Peterson.
