I agree that he can be frustrating at times but Iv'e come to expect it with him and admire it in a sense.
His interviews don't really bother me, he can come across as arrogant and cocky but I believe that's more due to the fact he's extremely confident, that helps mould the fighter he is, IMO
My only gripe with him is that he has a very fit missus that I would very much like to bang and even then I have to say, fair play to him.

Froch beat Pascal, don't dispute that because you would be incorrect in doing so.

Was Chavez Sr.'s win over Meldrick Taylor lucky then? Froch was behind but coming on, and Taylor was by no means washed up. He came back and performed better against Pavlik second time around right before the Froch bout.

The Dirrell fight is a close one that went to the hometown fighter, similar case as the Kessler fight.

Froch has always been respected. He has an unorthodox style that made it hard to figure him out, but he fought and continues to fight the best, beat most of them and entertains.

He's a bit of a throwback in that regard and hence why he is liked. Your line of argument seems to be that as Froch won more he gained wider recognition. Er, yeah. That's how it works.

Anyway, if you don't like him and want to see him lose, there's no real point starting a discussion about him on a boxing forum is there?

It's amusing how likes of Bill & Flea can see my thread for what it is and debate the comments i make.

Yet the ****ing stalking trolls under fake new names post "troll" "boring" and other bollocks, why don't you just **** off and go play with your balls, or better still stick me on ignore then your ******ed brains won't reply to my threads.

Never had any problem with a boxer being arrogant or cocky, whether I like them or not. Froch has accomplished far more than his skill set warrants, and he has done this with an unassailable grit and determination which has to be admired.

I'm full of respect for the fella and although I give him little to no chance of upsetting Ward on the 17th, I would be buzzed to **** if he somehow managed to pull it off.

I only started it as yesterday browsing the forum i noticed 5/6 Froch love in threads all over the forum, and i got sick of it, so i thought i would post up a negative thread for us people not supporting him. I just couldn't be arsed to post yesterday so did it today.

i think the answer to the thread title is "No".

personally i'd like to see Froch win just because he is a huge underdog and it would by extremely funny seeing someone so widely considered to be a future (maybe even current) p4per get beaten by a fairly limited warrior like The Cobra.

plus of course i cant stand seeing boxers mix the sport with religion

It's no worries mate, never fallen out with ya' before, and regarding myself you made some good observations  :good

And Gazza, you don't offend me mate, you do take some extremists views I don't agree with but your hating of Billy Nelson I can completely relate to (don't hate him but he needs a yin to his yang that is equally insane) and people forget you are genuinely passionate about boxing, and you just don't take this forum business all that seriously :good

What of my counter argument? Can I at least try and reason with ya'? :D

    Fair enough.

You have to take the rough with the smooth though, if you intend on starting a negative thread about a trending, well liked British fighter, in the British Forum to boot, expect some unsympathetic responses!

John Part I thought was on the slide but hes really regrouped and playing well.... still one of the few players who can upset Taylor on his day. He has belief in his game ..

Taylor though playing as well as ever and winning everything he enters . The PDC world champs hes nailed on i reckon. Lewis will push him close , Anderson lacks consistency and Wade is a mood player ... Great tmt looking fwd to it ...

Only clear loss on his record is Kessler.

My scorecard for his last few fights

    Johnson - 116-112 Froch
    Abraham - 120-108 Froch
    Kessler - 115-113 Kessler
    Dirrell - 114-113 Froch

    Ward headbutts Kessler
    fights a bum in Green
Gets a way too wide scorecard against Bika
    Has trouble with Abraham

When it comes down to it Froch will TKO him, Wards not going to be able to headbutt because of his eye and if he does it will bust open, Froch will go for the eye and Ward doesnt have enough power to keep Froch off him

Its a risky call but unless Froch gets robbed i dont think he can lose

I'm not fan but Froch didn't get lucky against Taylor. Froch just has more dog in him than Taylor. Taylor is a good fighter who is susceptible against fighters who ask questions of his stamina and try to make him fight. That's why he can beat someone like Hopkins, but will always succumb to fighters like Pavlik, Froch.

Here is my thread prior to the Taylor fight........

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=128661&highlight=Jermain+Taylor

With all that said, I do! think he lost CLEARLY to Dirrell. If the fight was close, it was closer because Dirrell had a point taken. I was giving Froch rounds of pity that is how one sided I was seeing it. Hell there were rounds that he won that he basically only won because he was rabbit punching in the clinches and being physical with Dirrell, thus breaking his rhythm up momentarily.
