I'm not saying he's a Pernell Whitaker, but some Bute fans refer to the way Bute did better against Johnson than Froch.Froch did better than Ward against Abraham and I'm well aware Ward has more skills.I think Froch and Bute are far more similar than Froch and Ward. Both get by a lot on their strength.I wouldn't say their skill sets were miles apart, pretty even for me.

Until last night I was convinced Bute was entitled to maybe 40-45% of the purse v S6 winner, but reading some posts and giving it some thought I think Froch/Ward may play hardball with Bute and he may have to give up some of the juice on this one.The S6 winner is gonna say he holds the aces and after getting through the whole tournament, can Bute really say he deserves a 50/50? The winner could say what has this guy done to deserve an even split.Bute could do a Hatton and give up the juice just to get the fight that will define his career. Not my opinion, just a possibility.

Bute want a big name and the want to be recognize as the best. Bute's team already said that they are ready to lose money (don't make the fight in Canada) to fight the bests. So you're right that the S6 winner could try to make money with him.

This said , Bute his the most looked in that division , just look on this site. There's more thread about him then the S6 final .

Bute is popular and talented and he's exinting so people won't let the S6 winner let defend his tlte without facing him!

It should be the goal of all champions to consolidate the belts and then go to the number one challenger.

people here on esb still think super6 was a serious tournament with "the best of the best" in it?really?why talk about boxing with idiots who claim froch or ward fought the best of the best in the last 2 years when they fought the likes of green, dirrell, taylor or abraham.those people clearly have no clue and they are ******ed....

I'll try and be nice here..most people know Bute should have been in the S6 and only contractual problems stopped it.I could say a lot more but I feel like trying to be christian about this with you.Do you really think anyone will take that post seriously?
Anyone that knows what's what anyway?
I won't even bring up who Bute's been fighting in that time

Again... who deserves that "free pass" and is available in the spring? The S6 champ should just retire. :?

And again... I'm all up for Bute vs S6 final loser FOLLOWED by the winner of that fight vs S6 final winner.

Rehab Pavlik was not worth 1.35M, yet it was agreed upon by TR & IBox that they would fight in the fall for that very amount of money. Nice try.

That 'hearsay' you talk about, also qualifies "Bute lowballed Kessler" as a hearsay btw.

...and that's the short, correct answer. Sometime in 2012, I don't give a **** when, but do it. Then call yourself undisputed.

Frankly, I don't get this "deserving" issue.
    If
    1. fighter A wants to fight the fighter B
    2. the fighter B wants to fight the fighter A
    and subsequently
    3. the technical details are cleared out
    then: they fight.
If fighter A does not want to fight the fighter B (for whatever reason ranging from objective non-opportunity reasons to shameless ducking), they don't fight. It's as simple as that.
I saw many opinions here about a fighter B not "deserving" to fight a fighter A: this is purely nonsense. Any two fighters from a same division are fully entitled to fight each other, regardless of their resume, ranking, skills or whatsoever. Of course, any of them (say A) is free to refute to fight with the other one: A might want to fight a less dangerous opponent than B, or A might think B is too weak and fighting him would be deleterious for his resume, or A might have a better purse with another fight, or simply A doesn't like the face of B; the fact is that it is ultimately a voluntary decision of fighter A to not fight B.

For some reason this place is littered with quebecians which explains all the Bute threads. That's why I go here to debate Bute (and Kessler). On other forums Bute is rarely mentioned although it has picked up a little lately.

I didnt thought it would be a good idea to talk about that since its other forum, but you opened the door yourself.

But in one particular forum, there's a guy name BattlingNelson, and maybe because as you state this forum dont have too much Bute fans, his opinions and the ways he write them are surprisingly different than yours...

no.whoever win the super6 should retire, nobody will ever be worthy to challenge them ever again and if they do they should travel and fight for free.Just look what legends this guys had to fight to be crowned kings, beasts like Dirrell,Green,Taylor or Johnson...not to mention Bika.In fact the winner of Super6 should go directly to hall of fame and be proclaimed #1 ATG
