Is David Haye the only fighter to courageously get up from a Klitschko knockdown

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Ryan O'Reilly, Dec 8, 2011.

  1. Haye wasn't knocked down. They both fought like pussies. Wlad was his usual cautious bull**** self and Haye ran and threw like 3 punches.

Both guys got serious **** over this fight. When you think about it what the **** were people expecting? a slugfest? look at Wlads recent fights and especially Hayes it was never going to be Gatti Ward 4.

people bought the hype and gave off stink that it wasn't action packed. in all honesty both guys should respect each other after it because lets be honest they showed each other far too much respect inside the ring.

Only time ive seen Wlad look for the kill was the rematch against Peter and he looked awkward as **** swinging away. a good counter puncher would exploit that and one with good pop would have him in serious problems.

Therefore you can understand why Wlad fights so cautious.

Haye's performance was absolutely remarkable. When he got knocked down I thought the fight was over; watching him struggle to his feet and fight on courageously was like a scene out of Rocky. When we subsequently learned the extent of his debilitating, career-threatening injury, it became all the more heroic.

You went the distance, David. You went the distance.

Wow.. Even David, the most talk **** heavyweight in 20+ years doesn't make this many excuses anymore. He was never going to beat Wlad. Simple as that.

Then, effectively he was stupid for going into the fight with an injury like that.

I like Haye, but in that fight he didn't win much rounds. And, the knockdown was not a knockdown.

But that the thing with Haye. He's just too brave for his own good.

He's humble too because although he was fighting with one leg, he didn't want to use that as an excuse, and explicitly said that when he was showing the injury off to the world's media.

He was just telling us fans that he was injured, but then everyone jumped in and started saying he was making excuses.:-(

Also look at how marked up Wlad is in that pic. He looks a lot worse than the Hayemaker.

Were the compubox stats done by a German TV company? How do we know they're actually accurate?

Wlad looks like he cut himself while shaving his eye beard.
