This was one of those fights that you just hate to score. A lot of close rounds between two fairly equally matched super middleweights. I had the fight 117-113 for Froch. I hate having a lot of even rounds, but after watching a round more than once and still seeing it as even, I score it even. In this fight, I had two even rounds. If I had scored both of the even rounds for Kessler, then my score would've been 115-113. I saw it how I saw it though. Does anyone else have a scorecard for this fight that they would like to share?
I had it 7-5, or 115-113, for Kessler. I don't recall my actually rbr scorecard but I've seen it twice and scored it the same both times.
That is absurd. This fight was difficult to score. The press row people had it 116-115 Froch, 115-113 Froch and 115-112 Kessler. Tarver had it close for Kessler and Bernstein had it 116-115 for Froch. Were the official judges blind for having Kessler ahead by margins of 117-111 or 116-112? This was a close and difficult fight to score. I thought Froch decerved the win, but it definitely wasn't decisive.
I didn't think it was a controversial decision at all. Kessler won clearly. Froch didn't throw enough
