What is the reason for some people's dislike of the Klitschkos?

I'm sure thats true. The Klitschkos not being more popular is not because of that small group though. Look at someone like Amir Khan. A British Muslim is a star in America and thats a far bigger obstacle than being a white Eastern European right now.

However, Khan is a fun fighter. The Klitschkos aren't.

 

I've only been to one fight in another country and that was to see an English fighter, Carl Froch. That costs a lot of money and shows what I think of him. I'm a huge fan of his, so don't accuse me of racism, you ****.

 

European style isn't necessarily boring, Wlad is boring. And you're talking in codes. Adamek, Bute are far more exciting fighter's than Wlad. James Toney fights in a pitty pat style? Yes, Kevin Johnson is boring because he's negative and doesn't try to win. That's not to say he's the same as Mayweather or Toney. You would much rather watch a fighter that holds all the advantage and is capable of KOing his opponent jab jab jab grab for 12 rounds, and not throw a right hand till round 4 than the sweet science of Mayweather, whom actually throws hooks and right hands early and just doesn't have the power to KO his man. That seems silly to me, but to each their own.

Though they are unquestionably effective, they both fight boring, predictable bouts. There's very little if any excitement involved.
