No controversy whatsoever From what I remember.
I remember that fight well too, because I put $800 on Kessler to win.

I didnt rate Froch early on but he's grown on me a bit. I would argue that his resume is overated but if he could do over Ward somehow, I spose i'll get on the train too.

Two of my favourite fighters on that list Abraham barely threw a punch , Johnson is 84 and the fight was VERY close. dirrell is a soft ****, Pascal is just ok but has no workrate and Jermaine was damaged goods. I still give credit to froch for fighting anyone and his heart, courage, etc etc is great to watch but these guys make his resume look good because they are big names. I think Ward runs rings around them all

Wow. Not much else i could respond with.

Whose got a better resume then?

I think ward beats him too but at this point, froch has faced the better comp.

dont think you get the point, do you think Danny Green has a great resume because he beat Roy Jones?

I think you said froch has the best resume in the business so i decided to spend a moment suggesting that a strong resume on paper can differ from the reality of a strong resume.

Froch has easily 1 of the best resume's in the business over the last few years.

Cannot fault Froch's resume at all over the past 3 years. He has fought every top super middleweight in the world since the Pascal fight (with the exception of Bute of course). I cannot think of any other boxer (in any division) who has had tougher opposition in his last 7 fights.

Saying that his resume is overrated is uneducated. All the guys he faced were easily top 5 SMW's at the time. Abraham barely threw a punch because that's how he fights in EVERY fight. Waits for his opponent to tire and load up with bombs in the later rounds.

Still think Ward wins easily, but to date Froch has fought the much better opposition. Could easily argue that Froch's resume is better than Calzaghe's even before his fight with Ward.

Exactly, & if he does beat Ward he will fight Bute in a heartbeat.

After that who in the top 10 is left?
Stieglitz? Who lets face it is a massive underdog to get past Kessler in 2012 when they meet.

I wasnt comparing Froch to Green but simply suggesting that a great fighter like Johnson is past his best, so to Taylor, so to Abraham. Not as shot as Jones Jr but you get the point right? secondly if you want to compare a really strong resume i suggest you refer to all the obvious greats because in comparison to froch the list is endless. If your suggesting froch has a better resume than Ward then ok, no problem, better than the other s/middles, you could make a case, but ffs it's not THAT fantastic.

Abraham's not looked anything like himself since the Dirrell debacle, i think he struggles at SM, certainly not the monster he was at 160

Carl Froch's resume in his last seven fights > anyone elses resume over the same period.
