Noticed there hadn't been a thread on this.

According to Tyson's Facebook the fight is in the works.

I think it makes for a decent scrap for the casual viewer on Channel 5.

However for actual boxing fans it stinks!

Mick's looking to make fun fights for TV, It's all well and good but Tyson needs to knuckle down and get serious like he was for Chisora fight. This ain't a bad fight really he needs to fight guys his height and it's winnable obviously.

Not gonna complain Tyson's 2011 has been extremely demanding..

Not a bad opponent I would say, Fury needs regular frequent fights before he steps up. Hes simply not ready to be where hes currently ranked.

Yeah i'd think so, St Patrick's day Tyson would go down well there so he may put him on the show if DiBella wants him to be on and i wouldn't think he'd say no to Tyson being on show. Make the card even better with Macklin challenging Martinez and possibility of Lee vs Murray. It will sell out the place i'd think. Pawel Wolak sold $50,000 in tickets on his own so i could imagine have 3 Irish lads selling really well.

Perfect opponent for an undercard bout on Paddy's day imo, it will be a fun fight.

It will be good to see how Fury copes with someone even bigger than he is.

Does anyone know how often Fury has to defend his British title?

i was thinking this, surely he'd want to get the lonsdale belt for keeps asap? could take on sexton and towers both alright fights for him

Might be wrong, but I thought that the winner of Price vs McDermott will be the mandatory challenger. As that fight has been delayed then Tyson may not have to defend until then?

ye i think you're right i dont think he has to defend, but surely he'd want to? if i had that belt i'd want to win it outright asap, and nothing stopping him taking voluntaries is there?

Would certainly watch that. My prediction, Fury to pick himself up off the canvas and win by a trade mark tko after throwing a two punch combo and with with Fields still on his feet.
