A lack of Stamina and durability. Add shitty Defense, and if this Cuban trainer is all that then shitty defense should be corrected. As for durability I dont know.....

but stamina! what is Landeman doing ayway? some Ann Wolfe philosophy of this **** wont be easy man up mother****er needs to be applied

A one eyed walking Pinata should be getting scorched and brutally KTFO not having you breathing hard in the corner while he begs the ring doctor for one more rd.

His defense is not shitty. He had flaws before and after his parting with Evangelista concerning his guard and balance, but his head movement and defensive footwork was always way above average.

Clearly, Diaz and Landman conditioned him to fight a mobile, active fight with a responsible guard and near perfect balance for at least 10 solid rounds on December 3rd, so it's working out for him.

    Time.
And just being a bit short of the two best boxers out there.
The guy should go down as a credit to the sport during his era.I wonder if he'd have benefitted from having Diaz earlier in his career.Stamina looks better.

    Lack of power.

If he had Pac's power combined with his (Cotto's) current skills, he'd be unbeatable, probably even by Floyd.

    - but he doesn't.

The current Cotto is kind of a smaller version of the current Chisora.

His footwork is generally very good.

As mentioned often on HBO, he has gotten away from the excellent body punching that he used to rely on. It's good that he's able to do other things, but he should never forget what brought him to the dance.

If he's fighting straighter up now, rather than crouched then that will be huge for him.

Low ring IQ abandons game plan too early on in fight like going to the body or using his jab. Also in the first Margo fight and some in this one bakcing up into the ropes when in distress and not clinching to break up his opponents rhythm. Although I'll give him credit he did clinch Margo more in this fight than he did in the first.

His right hand knocked out many a Jr. Welterweight before his accident (see Torres fight), and the way he was countering over Margarito's jab with the straight right was impressive; the surgery did him well.

For the elite level, Cotto's IQ can be described as average, though I do think he's capable of shifting things round to round, just not in the heat of the moment all too well.

He has more power than pac now, pacs power isnt that big, it was below 135 but not at 147. Look at his KO wins they are by breaking them down, its his speed that is special

His major issue is durability. He knows this too.
