Would you rank Khan ahead of Hatton (Ricky) if he beats Peterson?

Eamon Magee or John Thaxton is as good a win as McCloskey!

A big no for me. Hatton has the better resume fought in bigger fights, khan needs to fight a true top class fighter or at least someone where he is considered to be in a pick em

lol is this thread serious? Show me where Hatton got knocked out in a minute by such an average boxer and then we'll see if it's close..

Right now what is Khan's best win? A 1 point decision win after holding on for dear life against Marcos Maidana?

Nothing against Khan because he's coming on really well and if he keeps improving by the time he finishes, he could well have had a better career than Ricky Hatton but Lamont Peterson is not a benchmark for anything. Regardless of what many people seem to think, it doesn't even prove he's better than Tim Bradley.

Yeah. Tbh I can only think one possible argument for Khan in that he seemingly wants to fight everyone and has UNIFIED the division.

However, Hatton was a two weight champion and was consensus number 1 (which Khan isn't) for years.

As I said, Hatton clearly now. End of his career it'll be Khan.

It's getting closer. Amir needed Bradley. If he can beat Peterson and Bradley this might be an interesting thread to revisit :yep

Also, are we talking about 140 or overall?

What kind of an argument is that? Khan hasn't unified ****. He picked up a fake belt off the "worst world champion" then added another fake belt by beating a shot Judah who lost to Matthysse the fight before. And Hatton did fight the best.

Yeah. The point of that post was to show how weak the argument for Khan was!

I'd certainly agree with that, although Ricky made hard work of both of them

Collazo performed well, but it was a close fight. You can't ignore the official result just to suit your argument.

Imagine how big the mooted Hatton-Khan fight would've been (post Pac, I think - say autumn 2009)

  13. Hatton has lots of better wins than Khan's over McCloskey.

Obviously the world level ones, Phillips, Tackie and Magee are all better fighters than Dudey.

I think Khan will go ahead because Hatton spent too much time fighting stiffs for easy money. The biggest knock on Amir is his one minute blowout to a journeyman, but all he can do is just carry on doing what he's doing.

And stop accusing people of being scared, he's not Tommy Hearns FFS.

Of course you can. If you don't think someone won a certain fight, how can you give them credit for winning it?

Earl Hickey hasnt got a f'n clue, even faded Phillips, contender Olivera and tough Tackie are as gold/better than McCloskey, and certainly as good as Peterson, and miles better than Salita.

    As for the OP, no.
