I personally have Anthony Dirrell ranked number 2 to Lucian Bute in the division. The way he beat St Juste was sublime.
Saw this fight yesterday. I don't know how you can possibly say that he will beat Froch and Ward based on that. I have seen a couple of people saying crazy things so I was expecting a very impressive display. But Anthony wasn't all that imo, especially considering the opposition. No head movement. No lateral movement. Horrible workrate. Got caught with a few left hands. I liked the power, height and reach for the division, and handspeed. He has some gifts but he is nowhere near refined enough atm.
if he gets to contender level..whcih he basicly is it's one of the greatest career comebacks in recent years. cancer in the chest cavity, merks it and destroys it like the ***** it is and continues to box...and arguably got better from the footage of his first 5 fights
indeed , and I think is a much complete fighter than his brother , he's bigger & stronger ( physical & mentaly ) than Andre. Maybe Andre is faster and more skillful but his weak mental it pulls him back into a fight.
yes, he's a gifted fighter but just because he hadn't some big fights it doesn't mean that isn't a good prospect and a possible future champion at SMW ! For start I would like to see Anthony fighting with guys like : Sakio Bika, Miranda & Andrade to see how he would handle with these type of guys and then with the top level smw fighters.
