A least he has a legacy. His claim to fame isn't a win over a b level contender whose best win was against an Australian midget.

Also the IBF cannot "consider" somrthing an "anabolic steroid"

It either is or it isn't

His post has nothing to do with the IBF. Whose to say the IBF were even using wadas guidelines?

This is the first post I think I have ever agreed with this man (/woman/child?) on... and to be fair he is exactly right. We all jump on Pac's back becaue we think he is on roids. I would never consider Jones or Toney etc. to be great fighters as they were juicing.

first off, it's obvious zod does not like jones with starting this thread but i have to give him credit and respect his efforts here. no name calling and just backing his arguments with facts for the most part.

you're stuck on the andro claim by websites. why would espn's Kieran Mulvaney (a brit) make up the andro claim? i imagine all it would take is a call to jacob hall to get the info. many other sites with respected writers have reported this as well, some already posted on this thread.

next, here's a link to the ibf's stance on anti-doping. they don't even specify what anabolic steroids are. they just list that they test for them along with other substances.
    http://assets.ibf-usba-boxing.com/File/IBF-USBABoutRules.pdf

again, andro is considered an anabolic steroid by wada and was legally in supplements over-the-counter until 2004. jones even admits to taking a product that would cause the positive test. not sure there's much more digging to do. it'd be different if he had other positive tests but that's not the case.

btw, what's worse, jones using a legal over-the-counter substance or calzaghe admitting to using an illegal drug in cocaine? (sorry had to get that dig in at joe there :D)

 You put on a 125lbs at the park bench stuffing McDonalds down your cake hole, trying to bulk up from flyweight, you weak little *****.
Jones cheats and you bring up Calzaghe :patsch. His wins over Hopkins and Jones must really haunt you :yep.
Tell me Robert, do you think R Hall had 4x more than Jones of this over the counter product

And what a legacy it is :-(, to be mainly a paper champ throughout his career and proven cheat, only to be remembered for losses to B level fighters like Tarver and Johnson

So Jones was bouncing around like on batteries but because the substance wasnt specified....

Why would you say General Zod doesnt like Jones just because he has highlighted a vital part of the fighters history?

Many over the counter products of the era would cause a positive test. Boxing is a loosely organized sport and it took guys some time to figure out what was ok to take and what not to take. At this point this thread is full of speculation on the part of biased mediocre minds. I could just as easily say Calzaghe was on performance enhancing drugs based on the circumstantial evidence that was able to become a world titlists of sorts(if you recognize the wbo title as legit) despite have virtually no fundamental boxing ability and being trained by a flute player.
