Yeah, but he's tried it 3 times now and not won convincingly on any occasion. It's not gonna happen.

Sergio is a middleweight, Floyd started as a career as a superfeather?! i dont's see what peoples obsession is in wanting floyd or Pac to fight Martinez, they're both just in the last few years of their careers and are welter's, Sergio started at welter but is now a middle. I'm sure if he would make 147 one of floyd or pac would fight him....

    that's business!

I think PBF v Serg is a great fight on paper but it would not make as much money as PBF v Canelo or Cotto (not to mention Pac).

    same as for Pac,

Pac v JMM is would make at least 3x the money as Pac v Serg and would probably double Pac v Canelo. A Cotto fight is a distant second to JMM but it has to be at 154 to be that big of a draw

I think his camp severally underestimated JMM in the last fight. I think if they are focused on him and not Pacs own hype they can and will do it. I think they let their guard down which was a foolish mistake.

If the risk/reward is there then it makes business sense but i really do not think it does. Maybe a little more for PBF because people are drawn to his fights A) to see a great display of boxing and B) to see him lose. A lot of people/haters thinks serg can beat him so it could make a bit of money. However, Canelo and Cotto would be bigger draws and a little less risk and still have a large segment that think these guys can still win

If you think there is no difference in fighting Canelo on May 5th and Serg on the same date I cannot even bother talking to you.

BTW: Of course Pac v PBF was and will always be about the money.

I agree that I would rather see PBF v serg over that but it still is an interesting match-up and could easily get hyped up to see it. Poor Serg just ain't a draw. he needs to clean out MW to make his name but he really does not have time because of his age plus PBF and Pac wont be around for ever! Those guys are his biggest meal ticket!

    Smaller guys?

Floyd has made an entire career out of fighting BIGGER guys!

Castillo, Corrales, Gatti,De La Hoya, Baldomir,Ortiz were all MUCH bigger than him!

    And LWM,MW is stacked

    He could fight
    Canelo, Pirog, Cotto,Sturm,Chavez etc.
