i think Machida can beat him if they fight again.

  2. Another guy who should retire, Machida once the golden boy of UFC :eek:p:

Pretty much lost his last three fights (im not counting a gimme fight in Randy).

JJ got out struck like that for most of the fight? that boy needs to train with the best strikers in Holland.

I can totally see that, but I don't think it even needs to be a monster bomb from a power puncher. I think a guy like Rashad with his great head movement and explosive boxing could get it done. Or maybe Phil Davis but the fact is the UFC LHW division isn't that good. I'd rather see him with the big boys.

Who else is there? Shogun, Hendo, Rashad, Davis, Lil' Nog, anybody else? Nobody I can think of. The LHW's used to be the best division now NOT so much.

Jones took a lot of risk trying to trade with machida, no one seems to come close to shutting down Bones' takedowns and his GNP is ridiculously dangerous.

He could have taken down machida a lot sooner but might have been a bit cocky standing. Still a fairly easy win, I dont know who can beat that guy seriously.

props to machida though great fight nonetheless :good

Silva doesn't want that fight, and they can't force him to change weight class. Same as GSP doesn't want to risk moving up facing Silva. 15-20 pounds is a lot.

Jones striking is fine, I don't see a major weakness that can be exploited.

I agree that Machida was getting the better of him standing in the first, but when Jones took him down with ease and split him open I knew the fight was soon to be over. Bones doesn't need to be as smooth as Anderson Silva on the feet, the fear of the takedown combined with his movement and reach advantage allows him to pick other strikers apart.

He's like a more violent GSP: unstoppable takedowns and control, but with far more dangerous strikes and submissions. The knowledge that he can take you down, but you can't take him down is a huge psychological advantage.

Rashad Evans, Phil Davis, Dan Henderson - good luck lads.

Yeah, because a 2 week lesson from them will get you knocked out by Dan Henderson.

  12. without a game plan but with a youll **** everyone up. also it wasnt exactly a striking contest since fedor outstruck hendo, lucky for H he got a lucky shot while fedor was rolling on the ground.

As for this shitty event, well another "new breed" gets hyped up while a former "new breed" gets exposed :nut:nut. The wheel turns once again and another round of hyping starts.

Reminds me of the time this Fedor jerk off was supposed to be the greatest thing. Next thing you know, Werdum and Antonio Silva expose him for what he really is. Then everyone thought Antonio Silva was something. How did that work out? Cormier exposed him as another hype job.

After all this, can you believe there are people that think Fedor belongs in a current top 10 rankings?

Yea well look what happened to GSP when he finally got caught. GSP got super boring. Will that happen to Jones, I don't know, but I don't paticularly like when he said in the interview " Now I know and so do everyone else that I can take a punch." He sounded kinda of like he was trying to convince himself or that maybe he wasn't quite sure. I would think that by now 16 fights into his career he would atleast know even if we didn't. Has he never been popped in training? Or in any of his early fights?

You can't take away what Fedor did even if he isn't now what he used to be. You sound ignorant when you say that stuff.
