Khan was penalised for repeated fouls. He was warned, but he was too stupid to change his approach. Can't blame the ref for that. He's very one dimensional, he had NO plan B. Just like Pacquiao had no plan B against JMM. :hi:

Hardly a robbery, it was a close fight. Khan should be angry with himself more than anything for KEEPING ON with the dirty tactics after all those warnings. I reckon there will be a rematch and this time Khan better keep his focus on Peterson rather than talking about Mayweather. Even if you thought Khan won, he hardly looked spectacular in there. Is he any better than Ortiz, Bradley or any of the other great talents in or around his division?

Khan is good as long as they hand pick the the type of fighters he fights
and they don't match him with the guys you mention.

    Team Khan Official Statement
Firstly, we would like to congratulate Lamont Peterson on his performance against Amir Khan.* Not only has he shown that he is a tremendous fighter inside the ring, but also a great man out of the ring.
Following the decision in the fight, Team Khan and Golden Boy Promotions intends to make inquiries with the District of Columbia Boxing and Wrestling Commission, the IBF and the WBA regarding the performance of referee Joseph Cooper and will also be seeking clarification regarding certain ambiguities with respect to the scores of the fight.
We look forward to an immediate rematch with Lamont as confirmed by Lamont and his manager/trainer Barry Hunter.

Khan started well but when Petersen changed the gameplan, Khan didn't and didn't look like he knew what to do. Not seen much of Lamont but is he a known pressure fighter?

Also Khan needs to realise that he is often seen as running, and it was especially evident in this fight. That doesn't win points.

It was a close fight all told, so can't complain with the result.
