And I stand by that, congrats to him, not his fault ref was hard on Khan.

Was a great fight, Khan made mistakes but I think will beat Peterson in a rematch.

Styles makes fights, Peterson himself said that he could not box in the middle of the ring, Khan was just too fast, so he went to plan B and he had success, if there was no points taken off Khan clearly won in my view, even with the deductions I had Khan winning it by a round.

Fat Dan had it 114-111 to Khan, I would not go that far.

Khan did have some problem tonight with tactics or mind set we will have to see.

What Khan needs to do is work on his flaws, he has no inside game and no plan B, To have a chance against Mayweather you need a bit of everything not just speed, Its back to the drawing board for Khan Im afraid.

I agree his inside game is poor and needs alot of work, but I now question Khan's mind set as in laying on the ropes too and trying to show the world that he can take a shot.

Or is it he was gasing?, I point I have been trying to make for some time now, Khan is becoming dead at the weight and needs to move up, his workrate was low at times.

Im not sure he is dead at the weight? I think that due to his style, he wastes a lot of punches and energy and that does show in the later rounds, maybe the move to 147 will help his stamina but unless he's a bit smarter in the ring and learns to pick his punches a bit better then it may not make a difference anyway, I don't want to be too harsh on him because I thought he won still, im yet to score it though which i'll do later.

I agree he he to control his tempo more, but there were signs in the Zab fight that he is starting to do that.

I think it's Khan's mind set, he wanted to impress instead of just winning the fight, and trying to fight for the crowd is the same problem he had before he teamed up with Roach.

I guess Khan had too much targets set for this fight ,last at 140 fight, in opponents backyard, eyeing Mayweather next year, wanting to impress while beating Peterson.

It's things like these which distract fighter, plan should be just to beat Peterson and get that W, but GBP, Sky,HBO ask more of Khan in order to raise his profile.

    It's a hard act.

Agree. I try not to go for all the tedious back and fourth insulting each other BS. I'd rather get into the mechanics of Boxing and throw things out there that we can go back and fourth on and see which holds merit to come to the most logical breakdown. I remember having a good debate with you before the Margo-Pac fight.

Yeah? I never knew that, thanks Slip :thumbsup

    Agree. Should be interesting eh?

He wasn't laying on the ropes to show that he can take a shot. He just doesn't know what to do when the fight is at a certain distance (not his preferred range). Enough of this "he is trying to prove his chin" nonsense that was even said after the Maidana fight. He lacks skills to deal with good fighters that make him fight at a range that he isn't comfortable with.

All he can do is put those gloves up and let the other guy pound on him.............he is that hopeless on the inside.

Lamont Peterson and co studied him well and executed their game plan
