Sorry to hear about this result, I didn't see the fight as I was too tired to sit up last night. A draw at his age and stage in his career isn't the end of the world. And I'm sure with the talent he has and the coaching he's getting he can become the star we all expect him to be.

I thought Jamie was so unlucky. The ref in the ring scored it to the other lad to make it a draw thats women for you know **** all about boxing. Needs to work on his defence a lot more. It could of been a hell of a lot worst for him than a draw. I think he will learn from this fight and make sure he is more positive in the future fights.

I had Peterson in the bookies to beat Khan so I am happy with Khan getting beaten. Mr Paddy Power has already paid out a nice result.

I had assumed Kavanagh would win. Regardless of bad judging or not, the fact it was even up for debae doesn't bode well for him. Oh well. Not the end of the world. Hopkins lost his first fight. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried.

Kavanagh got hit cleanely so over all I would say that this result is a good thing in the long run. My break down of the fight is short and sweet here -

    The negatives:
Kavanagh performed terribly in rounds 1-3 and started some attempt at a defense in round 4. He probably just about deserved the win but a draw is no big deal.

    The positives are:
1- He got a real workout by a lively fighter who was not there to make up the numbers.
2- He proved he has a chin
3- His defense was exposed but with out a defeat it's a good thing long term. This guy made it obvious what Jamie has to do now without taking away his unbeaten record.
4- Kavanagh showed the ability to adjust in round 4 and particularly in round 6 where he got out of range after landing his own shots.

Disapointed with Kavanagh last night. He didnt box well at all but I thought he just done enough. His lack of power is going to cause him serious problems in the future.

That was a great learning fight for Jamie win lose or draw he will take a lot from it, the chap was not your average journeyman he came to win .

That was the type of journeyman you will you only get in the states .

come on now this lad should have been beaten by anyone coming through that wants to make noise as apro, dont big him up,The Maj draw is a good learing curve for Jamie and doesnt make him a bad fighter overnight.
