I was actually slowly starting to warm to him which was hard seeing how hard he ducked the Prescott rematch. He seemed to be working hard and getting a new attitude. This loss though just shows he has not changed at all and he is still the same primma donna and made me completely dislike him once more. Learn to carry yourself with some class for god sake.
No he was acting as cocky as ever. When he is there kissing his hands and **** thinking he a young pbf. ****ed me off how he wanted to grab lp neck and moan to the ref like he is getting abused.
His post-fight attitude was disappointing. Even Larry was getting annoyed with him. I was impressed with a few things last night, but put off mostly by the rest. I've lost a quite a bit of respect for him.
I thought he was going to do a David Haye and get his toe out the lil girl. He did more running than a Kenyan on track last night. I am british but War Peterson - full respect to this guy he deserved the win.
His comment on Washington and why fights hadn't happened here in twenty years I think will have killed him.
I noticed quite a bit of my friends in the UK disliking Khan, and even more so after last night. Do you think it is because there is some friction between Brittish and ****stanis or is it purely due to Khans behavior?
You're a fan if I remember rightly? Who did you have winning? I watched with my gf and we thought Peterson gave Khan a beating. Khan showed heart and put in a decent performance himself I was disappointed with his post fight interview but I can understand a boxer being in denial to be fair, but Roach was going on about a robbery too was a bit annoying There are people who dislike Pakstani's and what is construed as Typical Pakstani behaviour (this is a Pak term not a white 1). But many will dislike arrogance too, many of my Pakstani friends route against Khan, maybe partly because they're haters. I'm sort of neutral on him
The stuff mallignaggi said about Texas after the Juan Diaz fight was 10x worse, but Paulie didnt seem to lose many fans.
Yeah I'm a fan. I had Khan edging it slightly on my sheet, but wasn't shocked to see Peterson's armed raised, nor was I disappointed, because I kinda' felt Peterson won the fight. The rounds that he [Peterson] won were nice, solid clear rounds where he landed the harder, cleaner shots. The majority of Khan's rounds were close and won only by superior workrate and flurries. I was impressed with Khan's determination to remain in the fight, because after rounds 3 and 4, I thought he was badly ****ed, and that he wouldn't see the final bell. So, credit to him for that. However, I didn't like much else, though. Oh, and 90% of my Pakstani friends hate him, too. Mostly because of his arrogance. My phone was flooded with 'lol' texts from them when I woke up an hour ago.
A lot of it is to do with the fact oif his heritage. Carl Froch is one of the most irritating, cocky guys out there, yet he doesnt get the same hate.
As I said in another post, theres one thing you cant take away from Khan - Entertainment value. You cant argue that recent Khan fights rarely fail to excite one way or another. However, very surprised at the lack of credit for Peterson in his post fight interview, and the other nonsense, perhaps he had a quick chat with David Haye just before the interview for some quick post fight interview tips... I appreciate his psot fight comments would not have done him any favours but I bet you'll all be watching the rematch...
I suppose if you gave AMir closer rounds you could have him up, I rated Peterson's bodypunching in those rounds and his heavier blows though. Khan was pretty good early in the first 2 and I liked the way he rallied back (in the 10th i think) after taking a shellocking. It's a good fight and I could see there being a trilogy here in the Marquez-Pacman mold.
