Come on, Khan won that fight, I mean it was close due to BS deductions but he did enough. Won 8 rounds on my card, some genuinely close ones so I guess 7-5 is okay, still, that's the closest I can see. In some rounds Peterson showed his class and warrior spirits landing big punches staying busy, but in others Khan flurried and moved and managed to get through only getting caught by just a few. Even though he wasn't highly effective, but he did outland Peterson no matter what compubox 'saw', he did land clean effective punches and won the last round to make the win his. How Peterson is so favored by the judges is beyond me, Ortiz also won their fight.

Mixed times for boxing. JMM robbed after putting on a masterclass, Chisora winning 9 rounds, losing the fight, Khan did the better of the two, robbery maybe not, but you have some explaining to do if you found 7 rounds Peterson won.

Anyways, great fight that will surely get a rematch and Khan did not lose a fan or his aura, and why not do it again. It's a BS loss that doesn't hurt too much so I say positives outweigh negatives here. Credit to both fighters, but i never wanna see that ref anywhere near boxing again.

Do you score fights based on a fighter getting the **** kicked out of him? If so then yes Khan won the fight

Khan landed his own share of solid punches all through the fight and he landed more. If you say Peterson won clearer rounds, I say I agree, but he only got a few of them. Khan managed to land clean blows on the move while in several rounds Peterson got only a limited amount of telling shots in return, you can't win a round on 2-3 good punches if you're getting outboxed. Althoghether I don't care about external things, facial marks, 'who was running', compubox, 'who got the **** kicked out of him', I score round by round. Peterson had the highlight moments but Khan won more rounds in a close fight sometimes hard to score.

Of course with the deductions I can see Khan losing on other cards. But I call the penalties BS, without them I can't see Khan losing, surely wasn't his greatest showing but did enough.

Maidana got bull**** deduction against Khan so its even now :p. Actually Khan should have been penalized for holding in that fight too.

Also Khan got bull**** knockdown in rnd 1 against Peterson.:admin

Agreed on the KD call, but IMO the 1st was a legit knockdown. If there is a punch landing and as a result you go down no matter if you just lose balance or there is a little slip helping the case, it is a knockdown. The punch landed, 2s later Peterson was down. 2nd incident (which was counted) is an obvious BS. In the end, there was a knockdown in round 1.

Hey, as said, good fight, one that will get us a rematch, no damage done, Khan will come back stronger while Peterson had his breakout in front of a good crowd. Good for boxing.

So true, its clear people possess some sort of bitterness and hate for khan. I actually thought the fight could have gone either way due to the deductions but that isnt saying much.... From what I saw Peterson was thye inly one who got knocked down and also the one who was wobbled by a right hand in one of the mid-late rounds. Lamonts eye was nearly shut. Khan was a jackass for that machismo he tried to display though

It was a close fight but no way you can be upset that Khan lost. His simply didnt do enough. Boy did he back pedal tonight I mean it was crazy how much he went backwards so he doesnt get the benefit of the doubt for ring generalship either.

As for the fouls they were fouls and I think the pushing and head holding were due to the fact Khan didn't know what else to do when he couldn't stop Lamont from coming forward and he was already back pedaling to the maximum of his ability.

He needs to put more on his punches and or learn how to fight on the inside as well.

THe only robbery was the stupid ass ref.

Peterson rushing Kahn with his head, grabbing him and pushing into the ropes..

"LET HIM GO, KHAN!" WTF? He was getting bull rushed into the ropes. This was like a Ricky Hatton fight in England.

There was no robbery here what so ever. Khan broke rules and lost a fight in which he otherwise would have won.

  14. Peterson was the aggressor, and his punches had meat in them, unlike Khan's pitter-patter shoeshine punches. Peterson won the fight.
