Is Freddie Roach overrated?

wouldn't say he is a GREAT offensive trainer

this is someone who can't even teach anyone how to fight inside

he's missing a complete range

 

No he is not overrated. He should focus on his opponents weaknesses but I wouldn't call him overrated at all.

emmanuel was talented and athletic enough to beat the crap out of many of his favorably carefully matched opponents, so people were fooled into thinking roach is the best trainer

 

Had two good fighters in with the two best of the decade and both of his guys lost. (Hopkins and De La Hoya) vs. (Mayweather and Calzaghe).

 

at his best he is the best trainer of his generation. but he's been slipping hard at fast. parkinsons shows no mercy

 

Certainly seems unable to teach a fighter to fight on the inside.....

Khan and Pac are terrible there.

 

A few idiots in here. A couple of dodgy results an people are more or less claiming he's finished.

 

nobody said that. just that he's overated and to be honest he is.
He's a great trainer but the amount of hype around the guy is ridiculous.

Manny and now Khan have looked poor in fights they were easily expected to win but that doesn't mean Roach is **** just that he's actually human and a trainer not a miracle worker.

 

it works both ways too roach has been looking bad because of emmanuel and Amir's lack of ring IQ

 

Great trainer but is not as good as people say he is.
