he doesnt do himself any favours does he. he'll never hit the same dizzy heights as Hatton, and after last weeks comments where he basically called Hatton a bottler, well, there's karma giving him a right good kick up the arse. he's a whiny little *****. both him and Haye are a bad showing for british boxing IMO, just sore ****ing losers.
He forgets his 'Knockdown' and also forgets his dirty tactics (forearm to throat round 1), he even tries the old 'his head marked me up' **** fighters talk. He's being disrespectful to the people of DC with his comments, just cos ref didn't play to your tune. Supposedly you can beat Mayweather Amir? yet you can't even handle Lamont Peterson. Victor Ortiz beats Khan IMO, Khan can use his excuses but i wouldn't be shocked to see him lose another fight in next few. He's got to chase people from now on..
I had it a draw and I think it could have went either way depending on how you scored the closer rounds. Khan and his team are classless in defeat. The ref did warn Khan before he deducted the points. The ref was generous to Khan in ruling that KD in the first as well. It is poor form to say that Washington will not get another big fight again and that it was a hometown decision. Sore loser. He needs to work on his flaws, rather than cry robbery - it is embarrassing really. Fair play to Peterson, he deserves the success.
If Khan would just incorporate a little Ali shuffle into that road-runner routine he could go from looking amateurish and ruffled to braggadocio and in control. He would probably still manage to look like an idiot though
Amir should just be thankful the Bradley fight didn't happen. A brillient inside fighter like Bradley, who could make him miss and make him pay in the pocket. I think Timmy would've got him out of there inside 8 rounds. Too many counter right hands. Lamont plods, doesn't cut off the ring that well, pressure fighting is not his forte and he was able to do that to him.
the first knockdown was dodgy Amir. besides, fair or not, you have already had a point deducted for pushing, so why the hell did you carry on pushing him? its not about fair or unfair its about doing what YOU need to do 2 win the fight. you have a ref who is making dodgy calls about pushing, so STOP pushing? adjust. the second deduction cost you the fight, and you could have avoided it if you just stopped pushing
If they were going to be altered in anyones favour, it wouldn't be Peterson's. Khan is, or was, the fighter on the verge of becoming a huge star. Peterson winning doesn't benefit anyone greatly. The thing that really puts me off, has been all the talk about DC. How there won't be fights there in the future or saying that the result was the reason why there hasn't been boxing there in decades. Hugely insulting and arrogant.
