Has wlad done enough such that he's began a new universally accepted lineage?

I don't rank Dempsey nearly as high on many posters I respect very much on this board (Burt most of all). I don't believe for a moment that his reign was very special, though he was a special fighter for a brief window. Dempsey did much for boxing, though as a purist, I consider him something of a disappointment if you look only at the quality of his product after that Willard massacre. He could have done more. Part of it isn't his fault. His style was destined to be short-lived. You know? Rage burns out. Would I rate Wills over him? Yes.

How do you think a wills v dempsey fight would have gone in 1919?

I do still rank jack above harry but i'm questioning my ranking more and more recently.

I don't think Harry could have kept him off. Wills would try to do what he did to Lanford (and incidentally they went 8 that same day over in St. Louis) -that is, keep him at bay with a long jab and land the right to catch him coming in. I think that Dempsey, at that time, fought a style that was designed to avoid long straight shots by becoming a moving target. And those overhands. They hurt.

Dempsey's power was always there, but his speed and agility was not. That was what made Dempsey special in my mind when it comes to these H2Hs -his agility. He had a rolling, momentum-building rythym to it and it would give problems to a stand-up boxer like Wills.

    Source for these statements please.

Khan didn't beat Maidana, he got a GIFT. Big difference. Anyhow, Maidana is MORE than deserving of a rematch - a rematch the boxing public wants to see. They have the same promoter and Marcos has been screaming for a rematch @ the top of his lungs.

So what's the problem? Why has this rematch not happened unless Khan is ducking Maidana?

I don't have to. Fact is, Tim has the better resume and, as we saw last night, is the better fighter...

Khan is now demanding an *immediate* rematch with Peterson.

What happened to rematches with Maidana and Prescott? Don't these guys deserve rematches? Why have those rematches not happened?

And you wanted to rate this fraud as the #1 JWW in the world?

You really need to put down the crack pipe...

Kahn got a gift from Maidena, Peterson got a gift from Kahn, Bradley doesn't even want a gift, he would rather stay at home and fiddle his stick. Deserving got nuttin to do with the gift. The true lineage of the gift is the greatest gift of all.

1+1=2..the gift is the gift that keeps on getting the gift. You dig.

Ultimately, I hate Kahn cuz he is not a black.

I told you to call me Bronco..say sorry Bronco.

The true lineage of the gift is the greatest gift. It is Christmas, we should make gift, not war.

    Khan can't demand ****.

Peterson is the man with the crown not khan. I'd like to see a rematch but i'd prefer to see peterson v maidana or peterson v bradley rematch.

    I don't know why they didn't happen. I'm not khan's manager.

The reason for his prior rating is in previous posts. Reread them and argue with yourself if you wish.

    1+1=2

I think we need a seperate "gift" lineage. He who did not recieve the gift has the gift of lineage...therefore Kahn remains #1

    -Maidana-Kahn-:huh

Seems to me like the fact that Khan ducked the Maidana and Prescott rematches should have figured into your "ratings" @ 140. Prescott has been very vocal about the Khan rematch. Yet Khan has been shamelessly ducking Prescott. And you wanted to rate Khan as the #1 JWW in the world despite his blatant DUCKING of Prescott? How did that not figure into your "ratings" equation?

Prescott made khan run like a *****, however he isn't good enough to warrant a drop in rankings.

Khan also ducked john murray and john thaxton.

As I said peterson is number 1 and i'm hoping we see a rematch between peterson and bradley! Should be a good fight.
