Im not the biggest Khan fan by any means ... far from it

But you have to ask why it takes a good ten minutes to count up the judges scorecards ..

The cards are added up after each round ...it should take a minute or so to confirm they have been added up right .

So much shady rubbish going on in boxing lately .... its really doing the sport no favours at all ..

Last nights fight was no robbery .... it was very close ... but delaying the score cards just adds to fans opinions that not all is well within boxing in general..

 

He got a gift in round 1 when the ref tackled Peterson down and awarded it to Khan. In UK it would have been a British style stoppage after round 1.

 

He ruled it a slip actaully, Chris.

 

The one with the ref wasn't scored a KD. The second one where Khan pushed and tripped him was.

 

This by far, the worse thing that Team Khan have came out with in the aftermath of this. A complete and utter insult to the people of DC.

Yep, absolutely.

Apart from that, the fight sold out 10,000 seats and yet Khan just buried the entire city! Thanks to his idiotic, arrogant and insulting comments, nobody is going to want to run a show again there. All those fans got pissed on with those comments and promoters aren't going to rush to the city either.

Could you do us all a favour please, and explain to Amir how to count....he seems to think he was at least 3 points ahead and that the 2 points that were taken from him were given to Lamont!

He seems completely deluded here, sorta hard to watch...any fans that he won with the brilliant heart he showed in the fight...he lost when he talked to Larry Merchant.

WTF is he on about...Freddie told him you cant get points taken away for pushing?...is he mad? Its almost like he doesnt understand any of the rules?

to be fair i dont think Khan has that much authority.
I dont think the wider world gives two shits what khan has to say. I certainly wouldnt say khan;s comments cost the city future fights.

I don't castrate fighters for their comments post or even pre fight. People are being harsh by making too much out of what he said. It's heat of the moment, you've just been in a very tough fight, lost your title in a close one where you thought the ref jobbed you and then a micro is shuffed in your face. Plus Amir is not the sharpest tool either.

People hold on to what fighters say too much.

Exactly. I actually thought the Washington comments were crass enough to be rather funny. People take things like that too seriously at times.
