I had Peterson by two rounds without the deductions.

It looks like the poll kind of backfired against the hypothesis inspiring the thread. :yep

More votes for Peterson than for Khan & the draw combined.

113-112 Peterson with how the points were taken.

6-6 in rounds though. Didn't think the KD or the 2 deductions were warranted really.

    Can't wait for the rematch.

I think Khan just about edged it, the last point deduction was bull**** imo. Great fight though, and I'm really happy for Lamont. He deserved it.

I can't wait for the rematch if it's as good as the first.

I had it 114-111 after deductions to Peterson. In plain old rounds 7-5 to Peterson, so the referee didn't really affect the result in my mind.

Peterson did enough. Khan was on his bike!
The right man got the decision. All this complaining is excuses and sour grapes for losing a fight they never contemplated they could lose

Had it Khan by 1 point then but that BS point deduction made it a draw

    113-112 for peterson.

Khan deserved at least one point deduction for fouling. Peterson didn't get knocked down in reality so even with a slightly better ref i'd have it 114-113 peterson.

    YES!!! :deal:deal:deal:deal

    Exactly correct.

114-114 if throwing all Cooper's contributions out the window.

114-113 Peterson if you throw out just the KD and the one excessive deduction for head-pushing (one deduction was warranted after all the unheeded warnings)

    113-112 Peterson in reality.

    Exactly my thoughts. :thumbsup

:deal exactly this! And i can't believe are being sucked into believeing Khan was someone robbed or that something fishy went on.

Peterson fought his heart out and got what he deserved. Nobody should try and diminish his well earned victory. Khan lost the fight fair and square. His dreams have gone down the toilet at least for now. So of course he's bitter

Khan did a lot more than just lose the fight.
He lost any respect he had with his obvious lack of boxing ability and cry baby tactics and now will likely never fight Manny or May.
He is done like that character in the dead zone who picks up the baby to protect himself from getting shot.
    He is done.

Had it a draw which was influenced by the deductions.

Khan threw it away to be honest. Think he would win a rematch but hope he doesn't get some ref in who will let him foul all night.

Knockdown wasn't shown on sky a great deal just kept showing the one that wasn't allowed.

Yeah it's surprising, don't think I'd seen anyone saying they had Peterson winning until this thread (which in itself was surprising as I couldn't separate them).

I meant it after the points deductions and all that. Khan definintely deserved at least one points deduction for constant headlocks and pushing down on him. The reason for the deductions was weird but I think it's fair enough that he got points deducted.

I had Peterson ahead by 4!! points, but that's mainly because he was dictating the pace and had Khan running. I haven't watched it again, but in all honesty I just don't see how Khan could be winning when he was backpeddaling the whole fight, looking seriously shook and scared.

This is similar to Froch-Direll fight in a way, and the runner got burned.
