Is Freddie Roach overrated?

Freddy is not over rated at all, I do think he started buying into his own smoke a little too much .. but he and a handful of other trainer are all that left of old school.

 

His hit and run style does not work anymore it worked at first but know people know what to expect they have adapted and Roach has not.

 

He is not. Floyd Mayweather Sr. and Roger Mayweather are both overrated.

 

Good but overrated, he's great at conditioning his athletes but teaches them only basic level skills.

 

Roach is far from over rated, he may be guilty of doing a little too much reach around but other than that he's excellent trainer ..

 

One of the best trainers out there. Not overrated at all. Everybody knows his strength and weakness as a trainer and as said ain't a miracle worker.

He has improved Khan no question. Khan lost inspite of Roach rather than because of him. He would have been a worse fighter if he didn't train under him that is for sure.

As to whether Floyd can train him better.. that is another question.

the guy cannot train defense or train guys to fight on the inside. he's great offensive fighting trainer and good at working with current strengths of fighters and improving their strengths but defensively he's awful! with great match making his fighters can look like offensive beasts

super over rated as a trainer. they act like he's one of the greatest trainers ever! this guy is not in the class of Arcel, Futch, Bimstein......... **** even steward, shields, brother naz, garcia= all far better current trainers

 

or a bunch of known *****s. for them only mayweather sr. or roger mayweather is the best. when other trainer llike beristain or steward lose, its part of the game. when two of roach's top pupil had a close enough fight, they slag him.

Khan has a really difficult decision to make. I think Roach has taken his game as far as he can imo. He really needs to find a trainer who can build on what Roach has improved in him offensively and work on the obvious flaws in his defensive game. Controversial I know as Roach is still a great trainer, but it's something he should atleast consider what with Roach's condition unfortunately deteriorating aswell. I think Roach should use his limited energy on training Pacquiao from now on.

 

He dont build fighters from the start, he trains fighters who are already made by others.His corner are caotic and didnt seem like he can change, adjust and/or improvise a gameplan.Good trainer, but honestly, Pacquiao gave him a lot of his recent prestige, before that he wasnt considered the best trainer in the world, not even close, just another trainer.


In my humble opinion, good but overated.

 

Overrated is such an overused term. Roach wasn't Trainer of the Year 5x for nothing you know. Still great trainer, just losing his step recently because of his obvious condition.
People like to call him overrated because of his recent outings and the flaws with his fighters, but it doesn't change the fact that he's one of the best trainers today.

 

People turning their backs on Freddy already after one bad fight. Sometimes you have to just blame the fighter. Blame stupid ass Khan. No Freddy didnt have back to back bad fights because if I remember correctly,Pac man won his last fight you ****ing idiot.
