Saturday night just reinforced why fighters stay at home to defend their titles, what is the point of putting yourself at risk with corrupt hometown officials/judges? No fighters will be tempted to follow Khans lead after seeing him clearly win the fight and get jobbed. All this does is promote boring hometown defenses.

People need to give Khan the credit he deserves for defending his belt in his opponents backyard, the guy is on some old school warrior flex.

When was the last time a young American champ defended outside of the states? :think

Pac vs Marquez 3, Helenius vs Chisora are recent examples of BLATENT robberies.
Peterson vs Khan was a good decision get over it.

Good point, Khan - Peterson wasn't in that catagory of 'robbery'.

Khan was stupid enough to keep fouling, despite being warned repeatedly. Even if the point for pushing was kind of bull****, he was warned about it and therefore should have stopped doing it.

Peterson put in a hell of a performance and deserved something from the fight. Khan did too, a draw would have been fair.

How did some people score the 12 th for Peterson ? I know many did.... That was a clear khan round so it's 9-9 surely?

I never used the word robbery. I said he was JOBBED, which he was. Yeah Peterson fought a hell of a fight, still didnt do enough to win though.

I had it 7-4-1 Khan (114-112) but can understand why 2 judges had it 6-6 (113-112 LP)

It was a good fight, Peterson has his deserved moment in the sun & Amir can comeback stronger.

We also have a rematch to look forward too & it should be a career high payday for both fighters.

Joe Cooper will never do another world title fight, that's a good thing for boxing.

Honestly the only positive I can take away from Saturday night.

This is what you get in boxing for having a warrior mentality and willingness to fight anyone/anywhere.

theres No way in hell khan won 7 rounds and thats why I hate when people hype up fighters then they get they ass beat because its always excuses.....Peterson Blocked Majority of Khans shots but alls a fighter has to do now a days is be the favorite and swing away because weather it lands or not his fans will scream as if he knocked his opponent out

The last time Khan lost it sparked a big improvement, this could do the same for him.

I just cant get too upset about the result because although I wanted Khan to win Peterson has a great story & put in a very good performance. He didnt deserve the win imo but he got the decision & showed a lot of dignity & class. Peterson was a living on the streets & by working hard & not giving up he finally became a world champion. Rags to riches stories like that are good for boxing.

Isn't "jobbed" a synonym for robbery?

    i.e. "the bank job"?

Id say jobbed has softer connotations than the word 'robbery'.

I'm usually on the same page as you on most matters LB,but this is one where it really could have gone either way.Without the deductions I had a draw but I can see a case for both sides here.
Bottom line is Amir made a big noise about going into the guy's backyard.I suspect he's not yet the star or ticket seller GBP and Sky would have us believe mate.(Stateside)
Love or hate Khan,it can't be denied Bradley ducked and I think Khan was running out of options when he took this fight. It can't be viewed like he did Peterson some kind of favour here, this venue benefitted all pre-fight.

Thats bull**** - I had it even after 10, Peterson won the 11th then i gave Khan the 12th but he obviously had the deduction, so i gave it to Peterson by a point.

Khan constantly foulled in the fight, you cant push someones face with two hands to get them away or hold them hoping the ref will split you.

Fundamental point is Khan can not fight on the inside. If he was fighting effectively on the inside then Peterson would have thought twice about rushing him. Meaning, Khan would have won easily given a good inside game!
