Exactly this. The comparison between Dirrell and Khan is ridiculous, Khan actually wants to fight. He may stay on the back foot but he still constantly launching attacks, Dirrell just runs shamelessly for 12 rounds while engaging as little as possible.

:patsch What planet you on. No home town decision, The ref had a good night..
Khan constantly fouled all night, how many times did the ref need to warn Khan..
I think you need to get over it, the ref was excellent i hate refs who split the fight up when two fighters engage on the inside as long as it is fair, Khan was doing the holding and the ref was happy to see if peterson could hussle his way out and box on the inside..
Khan was hoping the ref would split the action when it got close and he didnt, and why the **** should he. Khan needs to go away and learn how to fight or deal with someone who engages in close quarters...
At the end of the day Khan got exposed as someone who cant handle inside work... Peterson great fight deserved the win how the **** did you think Khan would win with points deducted.. Fool... Dont be biased because your English and proud the better man won..

I have never in my life seen anyone run as frantically as Amir Khan did in the fight Saturday night.

Dirrell is elusive, he moves around the ring, he's hard to hit. You find this frustrating -- Froch certainly did.

Khan sprints about the ring like a chicken with his head cut off, then suddenly decides to cocoon up on the ropes and take 15-20 unanswered uppercuts. This is not stylish boxing. It's not manly.

Exactly my point, why is this so hard for people to understand? Too many blind, jealous Khan haters on here I guess.

Still waiting for someone to answer my question:

When was the last time an American champ defended overseas let alone in his opponents hometown?

While I can sort of agree with the first point deduction. The second one with just about 2 minutes to go in the last round was frankly bull****, and highly suspect.

If Peterson won fair and square id give him his dues and I still have a lot of respect for him, he fought a great fight and is a classy guy.

Ask any respected boxing pundit/analyst and they will tell you the same thing as me. Don't blame me cos you don't know how to score a fight.

    Both penalties were justified.

 :patsch You didnt see the fight all the pundits said the opposite it was Khans to win and he screwed it up, you cant dip someones head down and keep pushing all the way through.
Do you think the ref warned him enough?

Khan was certainly in full retreat for large portions of that fight, and as you said, frantically at times, but he was still mixing it up, where Dirrell was....well ....I don't know what he was doing sometimes, because he was winning the exchanges when he wasn't holding.

Come on. You know the answer to that. American champs don't travel overseas for the same reason that guys like Khan DO travel. America is still the boxing capital of the world. You can fight pretty much exclusively in the US and still not get hit with that regional tag. It's the reality of the situation. Tha's the way it has evolved.

It was noteworthy and showed some balls for Khan to do it.
