His fights with Maidana and Peterson were both truly amazing, and all you get are these threads about CON MAN being exposed and this, that and the other.

Why can't we all agree Khan has a chin on him and his fights are pleasing on the eye?

I for one will watch everyone of Khans fights, and win/lose/draw.. he's a top man. :smoke

The way he talks about himself, sees him put through a different microscope.

I agree his fights have been exciting, barring the McCloskey fight.

He's under a different "scope" in no small part because of the bull**** hype we here in the States have been hearing from all these UK assholes.

Recall that in the run-up to the Peterson tilt, Brit knobs were suggesting that Khan was a legitimate threat to Floyd. :scaredas:

    From ESB front page.

"Khan was royally exposed as a fighter with not even the basic fundamentals of how to fight on the inside. What we saw instead was Khan yanking on the back of Peterson’s head and trying to shove his down to the canvas in an ugly, ugly manner. And along with this illegal tactic, Khan used headlocks, and pushing all night long to try and cover up the fact that he can’t fight on the inside.

The thing is you have to be able to fight on the inside to be a no #1 fighter in the sport, and Khan was exposed last night and lost. Ultimately, Khan had two points taken away from him for his pushing and those were well deserved point deductions. What Khan was doing was shoving Peterson when he would try and come inside, as if to say ‘Get away from me.’ It looked really amateurish and it stopped the action"

He's under the same microscope that most fighters of his level are. Look how much heat Berto gets. People were killing him when he was still an undefeated champion. Ward gets plenty of heat as well, and he's still an undefeated champion. Ditto for Tim Bradley. When you get to this level, you're always under a microscope.

If you gonna be on this level you have to know how to fight on the inside.
Khan stops the action, Kills ebb and flow b/c he can not.

Amir Khan is not the finished article. He has alot of flaws. It's not like Amir looked really bad against Lamont... Lamont won a SD... and tht to a questionable one once you start looking at the factors which have been discussed in each thread for the past 2 days. If people think Khan is a CON artist then so be it. Lets see how Peterson defends his titles against top 10 opponents, let see how Peterson attracts fans to arena's and lets see the rise of this zero to DC hero. I'm sure the whole of America will support Lamont and his bro.

    115-110 to Khan

    and then

    113-112 to Peterson

    and

10 minutes waiting time for the scores to come back

theres are huge difference. Not to mention the ref overlooking the low blow and billy goat gruff style head barging Khan towards the ropes. It's cool. If the only way to take them titles off Khan was to bring in a inexperienced/biased ref then so be it. Amir doesn't lie; atleast boxing is back in DC LOL.

Atleast this fight has given Khan lots of things to work on that is when he returns to the ring.

He has the tolls to be one of the best, at the same time his chin is
proven to be crappy which makes the fights to be exciting at any time.

He is a good **** talker which makes him a good exposure to fans.

And I wouldn't lie, he ain't white, he ain't black so he has not much of
dedicated fans beyond Britain and ****stan .... and plenty of racial haters,
so he will be on peoples mouth all the time.

You mean just like how Ali and Wlad could fight on the inside?, or maybe you're talking about Manny?

Lots of great fighters throughout history couldn't fight on the inside. What he really needs to do is to learn how to neutralise his opponents offence when they get on the inside. Which he's improving on, but not nearly enough.

Khan will never be an adept inside fighter, and he doesn't need to be with his physical talents and skill.

Take Froch for example, he talks much more than Khan does, and people seem to enjoy it at the end of the day. He loses a narrow decision to Kessler and is in an uproar, people call it a great fight.

Khan talks a confident game and everyone tries to tear him apart, he loses a narrow decision in a GREAT fight and people say he's exposed and he's ****.

He may be a flawed fighter, but at the end of the day we all enjoy watching him.

Lewis, Foreman, and Vitali have used this same tactic without penalty. Are they amateurish also?

Hold on, let me go and see if I can find some pics of Ali blatantly leaning on both Frazier and Foreman to neutralise their offence and tire them out. BRB.
