Would you like to see Wladimir Klitschko vs Antonio Tarver in 2012?

Just had an interesting read in the latest Wlad interview on Ontheropes radio.

JENNA: Alright well if you listen out there Wladimir, there are certain fighters that tend to call you out. There is one interesting name. He’s a bit of a talker like David Haye but he’s an American, and that’s Antonio Tarver. I’m curious what you would think of Antonio Tarver as a future challenge, and do you think that kind of fight is a fight that can be in the United States and help bring you back to HBO?

KLITSCHKO: Of course there is a lot of talkers, and if the public in the States and the boxing fans are interested to see this fight, I think this fight will happen and I will be happy about that, too. Do you think actually? Let me ask you. Do you think this is a good fight? Do you want to see this fight?

JENNA: Well in my honest opinion, I think he can sell the fight well in the United States and it would be good to see you back fighting in this country. I think he can sell it and make it an event. Do I think the fight itself would be competitive? He’s a good boxer.

KLITSCHKO: Do you think he will knock me out?

JENNA: (laughs) No. I don’t think anyone out there will knock you out.



Well, do you like to see this fight happening next year, possibly after Mormeck?

 

Only if he was fighting at least 3 time in the year, otherwise no. I think he has to face Thompson next after Mormeck anyway unless he throws the belt in the bin.

I want Wlad to fight Povetkin, Arreola, Helenius, and his mandatory Thompson. And in 2013 Fury, Price, Pulev, and Mitchell.

 

Agreed. Tarver is the only real American who can establish a fight in the states. Maybe Mitchell will grow in the next few months too. Would be nice to see Wlad have a big fight in the states next year.

I agree with what Joe_MacKenzie says here. That lineup of opponents works for me.

Wlad could have 8 more wins from that collective group. I'd still like to see him fight Helenius someday, even though Helenius might have just received a gift vs Chisora recently.

 

Yeah why not. Heavyweight division doesn't really interest me. Seems everyone gets a chance to fight a Klitschko.

 

Jenna totally has the hots for Wlad.

Give Milkdud the payday, he's earned it with his badass comeback. If he wants to risk giving up his "never been stopped" claim for an extra slice of cake (not even a "risk" so much as an "absolute ironclad certainty") - hey, that's his prerogative.

He is literally no worse than any legitimate HW contender out there, and none of them are any less up ****'s creek against Wlad.

 

Same. If he starts being more active, sure, if he fights just once or twice I rather he doesn't waste a fight on tarver.

 

Better Tarver than Mormeck. Or a Haye rematch. Or Arreola. Or maybe even Povetkin.

Dead serious.

 

If Wlad has to scrape the bottem of the barrel again, I'd prefer to see him fight Huck than Tarver.

 

What's not to like seeing Klitschko mutilating, under sized, outmatched, old, shot Black man who talks some ****. I mean sell out in German :rofl

 

He's beaten most of the top guys and many of the emerging guys still are not ready

Helenius is not ready

Povetkin according to Atlas is not ready

not many left out there and many more dont want the fight

Arreola or even a Haye rematch is better unless Tarver beats somebody

 

...because Huck is 100% guaranteed to be brutally KTFO, whereas Tarver has like a 10% chance to lose by wide decision instead if he skirts out at the end of Wlad's jab all night? :think

Just please don't tell me you think Huck is better. :yep
