Victor couldn't touch him. Floyd was in that chicano ass like a G, Ortiz was about to give up.

You thought that looked like prime time Floyd? That guy was not the same guy that was in there with Marquez or Hatton.

Floyd was missing WAY more punches than I've ever seen him miss, and his right hand was beggining to get timed by Ortiz. Not to mention Ortiz was starting to adjust, and he was landing some solid body shots and starting to muscle the smaller Floyd.

I thought Floyd looked like **** in that fight. That was the most vulnerable we've seen Floyd in years, with the exception of a few seconds in the Mosley fight.

But in that fight, Floyd wasn't expending all of his energy by throwing power shots, missing punches, and getting drilled to the body by a bigger man.

Floyd is clearly on the downside of his career in my opinon.

I think he'll beat Pac, but that's more of a style's situation than anything.

There are some young hungry contenders like Alvares and Kirkland, that I wouldn't mind seeing against Floyd if the fight against Pac or Martinez isn't made.

There are videos on youtube that show the fight in slow motion where you can clearly see Ortiz' shots penetrating Mayweather's guard.

And those short shots he was hitting Mayweather with can be pretty devestating even though they may not look like it on film.

You can generate a great deal of power with short punches.

Ortiz wasn't doing anything on the outside but get countered and timed by Floyds right hand leads. On the inside he was pushing with his head and trying to bully Floyd, missing just about EVERYTHING he threw, hence his frustration and headbutts.

Floyd "was beginning to get timed by Ortiz", is the biggest load of bull**** you've written today. Floyd had him stunned early in the round and Ortiz did the only thing he could do to survive, try to maul Floyd. This fight wouldn't have lasted the distance, Ortiz was in for a complete beatdown and inevitable knockout.

The most damaging shot Ortiz landed was a powerful straight to Mayweather's midsection in the fourth, probably did wind Mayweather...but as the rounds would have been going on, and Mayweather landing the straight right at will, Ortiz probably couldn't have sustained a body attack to cause any significant damage.

Everyone wanted to see more as the end of the 4th was the most revealing yet. High dollar fight and all the anticipation to see a guy that fights once a year and what happens?.......... Ortiz (immaturity) + Floyd's (cheapshot) = loss for Boxing fans.

Yup, On top of that there is the wounded animal in the corner theory. I know Floyd was in control but as the old saying goes..."That's why they fight the fights"

If somebody would have told me after ten rounds of war and getting dropped hard 2 times Diego Corrales was going to get up and stop Castillo, I would have told them to shut the **** up b/c they don't know **** about boxing:lol:

    The Theater of the unexpected.
