After all these years, you still don't know **** about boxing. :-( What to do when your opponent clinching. Tie him up, and wait for the ref to break. Not push down on his head creating a foul. Not that this is the reason Khan was pushing off. The reason was pretty obvious that he was doing it to change the dynamic of inside fighting, which he lost at every engagement. What to do when your opponent is leading with his head (which Peterson wasn't doing). This is why the uppercut and jab were created. You keep your opponent at bay using the jab. If he gets past this and leads with his head, meet it with a crisp uppercut. Guaranteed, after eating a few solid uppercuts he'll stop leading with his head. Fact is, Khan was impotent to deploy either of these techniques throughout the fight. His only effective tool was to resort to dirty tactics. Question: In all his bouts, how many times has Peterson been penalized for head butting?
One point off was okay, but the second one with two minutes to go wasn't warranted. It wasn't like Khan was committing huge fouls. The referee was a delusional homer.
ur black, so your card was pre-scored before the bout even took place....no way peterson won that fight....
In the 12th round, Khan grabbed Peterson's head with two hands and shoved him away. After the ref stepped in to stop the action, Khan clocked Peterson. Remember, this is after Khan already had a point deducted, and had been warned several times afterwards.
What kind of ref trips fighters up, calls a BS knockdown, deducts two points for pushing, talks more than the commentators, shouts "LET'S THROW SOME THUNDER!" and has a ****ing mohawk?!
Come on Freddy, I thought you were better than this. Khan fouled so many times in that fight, it was disgraceful. I am fully aware many fighters use these same techniques, but nowhere nearly as a excessively as Khan. When you run all fight, and then clinch, push, and push/hold down the opponents head, you can't ***** about points being taken off. He did the same **** with Maidana and was lucky that ****** Cortez was reffing, because all his holding, clinching, and running saved him from Maidana. Peterson WON fair and square, and he deserved it.
Nacho should have been the ref. *stops fight* "What are you doing... no no... feint more you jackass"
That ref was a clown, did you guys see when he called for a time out just a round started went over to Peterson corner and said 'If you hold my fight up again I will take off a point' WTF If he going to take two points off Khan for pushing a minor foul, why did he not take a point off Peterson for keep coming in with his head first again a minor foul? He kept warning Peterson for that too, why did he not take a point off him??? Clown ass Ref..
I seen Khan attempting the shoulder roll a couple times, and then getting clipped. Nacho could have stepped in at that very moment, kind of like an intermission...and showed Khan exactly how to do it. :deal
I'm non biased, you ****ing moron. I said Peterson won WITH the deductions, Khan won WITHOUT them. I don't give a **** about Peterson. Khan is one of my favorite fighters. When it comes to boxing, I am colorblind. I rooted for Kelly Pavlik over Jermain Taylor, and favor Pacquiao over Mayweather, for chrissakes!
