I read it and thought "so what?". Chisora has nothing to lose, so he will accept a big money deal. If he loses, he career doesn't go backwards, so it can only be a good thing for him.

However, that doesn't excuse the fact that more boxers have accused K2 of "slave contracts" or bad deals than any other promotional group I know of. It also doesn't excuse the bull****, unprecedented three fight deal and it also doesn't excuse fighters like Tua, who was relevant at the time, being offered less than Sosnowski.

I am happy that this fight is apparently getting made. Dereck Chisora showed in his last fight against #5 heavyweight contender Robert Helenius that when in shape, he can more than merely contend with the top heavyweights, he can beat them. I saw a lot in Helenius before that fight and even predicted he would stop Del Boy in the 10th round. I was way off as Chisora dominated Helenius for the better part of the fight. Del Boy's only real loss is that to Tyson Fury. Yeah, you know the one where Chisora was about 20lbs. overweight. That was his fault, so he has no one to blame but himself.

This fight really excites me. I think Chisora will be competitive, but my guess on the outcome is Klitschko W12. I believe Chisora has the chin to go the distance, but lacks the skill to obtain the victory. Vitali Klitschko is a very talented heavyweight, even at the age of 40. Head to head, few heavyweights in the history of boxing could have dealt with the skilled size of the Klitschkos or a Lennox Lewis.

I truly admire Vitali for taking this fight. Yes, I know we aren't talking about a prime Sonny Liston here, but Chisora is a very talented heavyweight and has proven to be effectively aggressive against taller opponents in the past. Will he find success against the great Vitali Klitschko? My answer is no. At least not enough to win. Again, I give Vitali a lot of credit for taking on a possible tough challenge when he didn't have to. Chisora is coming off a "loss" against Helenius, so it's not like this is Vitali's mandatory or anything. I am hyped about this fight and will be hyped for the next one too, especially if the opponent is David Haye. Dr. Iron Fist has to get past Del Boy first and at least in the opinion of this writer, that won't be an easy task.

I just hope that Del-Boy's people are smarter than Booth and negotiated for an adequately sized changing room for him at the venue for the open workout. David Haye's not having one most assuredly went a considerable way in costing him the fight against Wlad.

He's 0-2 in his last two fights. Everyone knows he really won the last one, but still. Dude has no name recognition and no momentum. If I were him, I'd be thanking my lucky stars for getting the shot payday.

Exactly. Chisora would likely never become a mandatory for a shot at a Klitschko before they retire anyway. He should consider himself very lucky.

Could Vitali be possibly using Chisora as Wladimir did to get Haye into the ring. Seems Haye was merely talking again until Wlad reset the Chisora fight for April then volois, Haye's ready to sign.

Just can't imagine Vitali wanting Chisora on his resume moreso than Dimitrenko....who is supposed to be completely healed and should be able to get ready by Feb 2012.:huh

Now imagine the irony should - God forbid - a near 50 year old Vitali get injured during his prep and Delboy gets snubbed a 3rd time.

    I'm not impressed with Dimitrenko.
Chisora just beat Helenius who was widely regarded as a Top 4 Heavyweight.
To me, that makes him worthy of a shot.

I had it 11 rounds to 1 in favor of Chisora.

Chisora landed almost TRIPLE the number of power punches, and DOUBLE the number of total punches. There is absolutely NO WAY Henlenius won that fight. NO WAY.

    A WBC mandatory gets 70/30. 80/20 wouldn't be unreasonable.
