He's at least a natural Jr. Welter. Nothing gets me more than when people try to make out Pacquiao to be a natural Flyweight just because he fought there eons ago as a severely weight-drained teenager who hadn't even grown into his body.
Weight drained means you are physically compromised from cutting weight. Pac didn't do this in his earliest fights. In one of the 24/7s, he said in his first few fights, he had coins in his pocket at the weigh in because he fought at the Jr. flyweight level weighing just over 90 pounds. He fought while being a malnourished teenager to earn $2 a fight. Show me another flyweight that looks like this: This content is protected
Duran is as good as you say but I think your giving him a litle too much credit and underrating Pacquiao. Duran was a great swarmer, but i dont see swarming tactics ever being an ideal gameplan against Pacquiao. Duran was also a good boxer with underrated counter punching skills, but he's not exactly Marquez. As you said, he's the inverse of Marquez... he's not a defensive fighter, and he doesn't use the type of footwork and lateral movement that Marquez employs. Pacquiao is faster, quicker on his feet, can box /moev which has given duran problems in the past, and Pacquiao generally eats up guys who come forawrd, , and Duran doesn't fight going backwards. Pac even has a slight reach advantage, and their the same height. I'm not saying Pacquiao wins, but I cant see this as an easy fight /shutout for either guy.

These threads are ****in stupid. All anyone ever picks is Duran by some ludacris statement that he would annaihilate Pac in a round and **** like that. Its nothing but nostalgia talking. I said this before and I'll say it again, Pacquiao is too fast for Duran. Especially the prime Pac that fought ODLH and Hatton. Whoever can't see that doesn't even watch how Duran fights. I'm serious. The Pac that fought ODLH can do an in and out movement perfectly on Duran. It will be like Duran-SRL 2 minus the showboating if Pac will be disciplined. You guys are all acting like Pac doesn't hit hard and Duran wouldn't mind his punches. So it will be competitive for a few rounds, until Duran quits head hunting and starts digging the body. Pac will slowdown due to the body punishment and that's when Duran will step on the gas. I see a massive KO on the 8th round in favor of Duran. I won't be surprised if Pac keeps disciplined tho and UD's him. Duran gets more easily frustrated than Pac.
He's likely embellishing with his account, although if that were true, it didn't last long. By the time he was taking on Sasakul and even prior he was already a massive Flyweight. Peep the footage. Much more telling than a single photo. Weight-drained or malnourished, he still hadn't come close to growing into his body, so my point stands either way.
Not saying he would beat him bit Marquez would give him serious trouble. Duran is viewed as some kind of ****in unbeatable monster on here. Its ****in ridiculous.
mayweather style is not like leonard so no he wouldnt give duran troubles.. there isnt a 5'11" sixt feet welter with power today so i dont see anybody beating him... duran had trouble with fast and quick boxers and tall punchers and from 135 to 147 there isnt any who fits that style :hat
****....me. Marquez is one of the elite fighters Duran would look best against. Attempting to combination/counter-punch Duran while in range, i.e. playing his game, as the smaller man? Yeah, that sure sounds like a recipe for success. He'd have the most trouble with Mayweather, bar none. Not to say that he'd lose or anything.
