Whats going on with this Forum? Mosley would KO Cotto?!!!! are you serious!! Cotto just handed Margerito his ass on a plate by completley shutting him out, he has previously beaten Mosley and is currently the light middleweight champion!!! Mosley was shutout by Mayweather, drew with sergio Mora in a fight that makes Calzaghe v Lacy mildly entertaining and then was soundly dropped and beaten by Pacquiao. He is also about 50 years old, slow as hell and punch drunk. Cotto and Alvarez would soundly end Mosley to think otherwise is mental.
The same Pac that signed to fight marquez before the Mosley fight? The Pac that is fighting Marquez for the 4th time next year? Or the Martinez that rehydrates to over 170lbs? This is a boxing forum why dont you start a Pac fan club and go there to hate Floyd mayweather. every thread on this website has some stupid post by you mentioning Floyds name. Open your eyes Bob Arum is the one stopping this fight its clear as day now even Pacs camp has said its been him all along.
Cotto? He looked terrible against Margarito. Seriously I watched the fight and then starting reading about how Cotto won every round. Are you for real? He was running hard for the entire fight. Another round and he might have been done. Mosely looked **** last outing but he has an iron chin; complemented with some steroids. I wouldn't watch that fight but it would be competitive.
Cotto dominated a way better version of Mosley, this time He would beat him very easy. Nothing to gain for Cotto, He gain more fighting a guy like Vanes or K9.
Mosley just needs to retire, he must be okay with money now after the Pacquiao and Mayweather paydays
When a guy like Sergio Mora cleans your clock, it's time to call it a day. Cotto would knock him out. Alvarez would, too.
As bitchy as Alvarez and his team are, he's still got a ton of power and would not carry Mosley like Pacquiao did or land a shoulder punch that would result in a BS kd. He'd murder Mosley at this point and Cotto would outbox him much better than he did in the first fight. The old man river is cashing out and I just hope he's alright financially and health-wise. I'm still a fan.
Both would be good fights. They all get badly beat by Pacman or Mayweather. That doesn't mean they can't provide good fights against the "rest".
He'd be a good stepping stone for alvarez, as for Cotto i don't know if the rematch would be as marketable, in light of mosleys abysmal displays against manny..
Amir Khan said he wanted Mosely at 147 for his first fight at the weight. I was looking for a link a minute ago it was on the bbc website but they have deleted it and most of the ridiculous Khan hype that was floating around pre Peterson. Quite funny they deleted their Khan to be best in the world in 2012 article as well featuring hindsight king De La Hoya. Also gone are the I could beat Floyd threads although they have been replaced with I can still beat Floyd threads.
Intresting, while I felt Cotto could have done more to take Margo out he fought an excellent technical fight by taking away Margo's best attributes. Numbers truly don't lie and Cotto basically outboxed and outsmarted him all night. I gave Margo one clear and decisive round, I felt this way and the others in the room (which contained one former pro and another former bantam weight champ) felt the same exact way. But hey to each his own.
