Haye set to make announcement soon! Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-2, 23 KOs) and his trainer/manager Adam Booth are expected to make an announcement soon in regards to whether or not theyll be accepting the offer made to them by WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko and his management for a fight that could take place next year in March 2012 in Dusseldorf, Germany. Haye, 31, received a 50-50 deal in his last fight against IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko despite having fought only a handful of times at heavyweight, mostly against older fighters in the 38-year-old range. Wladimir still gave him the 50-50 deal and Haye fought poorly, losing by a lopsided 12 round unanimous decision. Haye understands he doesnt deserve a 50-50 deal this time around with Vitali, but he still wants to get a good cut. Vitali may have to give him at least a 40-60 deal in order for this fight to transpire, because Haye likely wont go for a smaller percentage because he arguably has much better promotional skills than Vitali. There are few fighters that are as good as hyping a fight as Haye when hes got his mind into a fight. The Haye-Vitali fight hasnt thus far excited the boxing public unfortunately. Few fans are looking forward to it, and mostly see it as a similar type of mismatch as Hayes last fight against Wladimir. What Haye needed to do was pick up a comeback win over another old lion in the sport and use that to convince boxing fans that hes learned from his last defeat. But Haye has no interest in taking a tune-up, and only wants the Klitschkos and the big money fights. As such, hell likely lose a lot of money by not doing that because his cut wont be as big and the pay per view numbers will likely suffer in the UK for this fight.

DAVID HAYE has a contract to fight Vitali Klitschko on March 3 and is studying the small print. The former WBA world heavyweight champ will end his early retirement to face the WBC king in Dusseldorf. Haye's manager Adam Booth said: "We have received a contract to fight Vitali Klitschko and our lawyers are looking at the details of what has been offered." Haye retired from boxing as planned on his 31st birthday in October after suffering a unanimous and humiliating points defeat to Klitschko's younger brother Wladimir. But the Londoner has been plagued by a desire to put right one of the worst performances of his career by fighting Vitali, 40, in Germany. The Hayemaker has started light training at his South London gym and told pals he found the first sessions particularly tough. He knows his only chance of redeeming himself in the eyes of fans who were shocked by his tame performance against Wladimir in July is to fight on. Haye declared: "I said I'd want to fight Vitali. The Klitschkos are the only guys I'd consider coming out of retirement for. "I will do whatever is necessary to make sure I am in good shape. There's a date in March that has already been talked about." Haye will not be pushing for a 50-50 split of the purse like he did against Wladimir. He added: "I don't have a title but I do bring value and excitement. Some people love to hate me but I also believe I have the talent." Wladimir said: "My brother will knock out Haye. We've had the talk about becoming an actor, retiring, not retiring. Let's see what he brings this time."
VIT COULD BE HAYE! IT DIDN'T take long for the Klitschkos to try and goad David Haye out of retirement. This time Vitali may face the Brit after younger brother Wladimir beat him on points when Haye put a poor performance down to an injured little toe. Such is the state of the heavyweight division that the only fight with a slight bit of interest is a Haye-Vitali match-up. Wladimir takes on Jean Marc Mormeck next month in Germany with the WBA Super, IBF and WBO titles on the line. Mormeck has as much chance as Audley did of winning Strictly! Wladimir taunted Haye: "He was a chicken for 12 rounds. If he has guts and ego, which got hammered against me, he'll be back. "Vitali hits a lot harder than me and I am pretty sure Vitali can knock him out." A date of March 3 in Dusseldorf is mooted but the real reason Haye is in the mix depends on what TV revenue he will bring. Sky Box Office is not covering boxing for the moment so that leaves soon-to-be subscription channel BoxNation, PPV channel Primetime or Channel 5, who had 1.74m viewers for Fury-Pajkic

Report: Haye vs. Vitali Klitschko close to done The rumors of David Haye taking on Vitali Klitschko as early as March, 2012 are on the verge of being true, according to several published reports. Bernd Boente, the manager for both Vitali and his brother Wladimir, confirmed to The Telegraph Wednesday that Haye has received a contract outlining the parameters of the deal. "In the last few days we have continued negotiations and the fight is almost complete, once David signs on the line we will officially announce the fight, be sure updates will follow.
Nice mate, dont want to book anything yet as 1 thing wrong in the contract could ruin the whole contract. I see david has just opened a shop aswell stating he wants to put alot of effort and get hands on into that project. in my opinion its abit to risky to book anything yet. G
****UPDATE FROM HAYE**** David Haye has stated that he will come out of retirement in a flash to land a shot at Vitali Klitschko Haye stated that a chance to seek redemption and redeem his reputation was too tempting to ignore. Haye confirms: They are in talks with Team Klit however he will first defend his titles against derick chisora in Febuary, So the preposed fight between myself and Vitali will not happen untill the Summer. Haye stated he can wait alsong as it takes but is hoping they can have a deal signed by next month so the fight is certain. Haye stated technically i would of lied to my fans about retiring if he was to fight again but those fans wouldnt ideally want me to finish on a defeat. Haye continues to say that he is sure his fans will forgive him if the fight is made between himself and vitali. and also said the fans would love it even more when he KO's Vitali which he plans to do. we are looking at around June/July time keep your eyes open for updates. I don't know who would win this to be honest. Its another case of Haye having EVERY tool to win except his brain failed him against Wlad.
I'll be watching on tv this time... Reasons: - It was freakin' cold and rainy at the Wlad vs Haye fight, warm and cosy in front of the TV. - The British fans were loud and some got a bit agressive after 4 rounds when they figured Haye was going to lose. - It cost me a lot of money to see the fight (travelling, hotel, tickets) only to see Haye not even really trying to win. - Watching it on TV is completely free where I live, with native language commentary. - Can have my own planning, snacks, drinks and watch the other fights that night as well.
I think haye might just win this fight, it's there for the taking to be fair, old vitali is fairly slow and cumbersome and hayes in an out style should be pretty effective, Haye to win this on points, no way does he stop vitali. Del boy will give it a good go and probly go out mid to late rounds from a big uppercut from vitali.
