I don't think Khan's intentionally dirty, he's just sloppy as ****. The pushing is dumb though.

You could find a dozen of fights this year with worse pushing and nothing more than a warning given, the only reason people are focussing on it it because the ref made a huge deal and it affected the outcome of the fight (sorry to state the obvious).

It is, however, against the rules and Khan should have stopped after being told - the bit I'm struggling with most is that when a fighter gets inside against Khan all he can do is push away or cover up and take shots - he has no inside game at all.

  7. Hopkins doesn’t need it.... Peterson needs it.

I agree, he should have stopped when told to but I am struggling to remember one occasion where a ref has deducted a point for pushing in the way that Khan was

I stopped watching when the knock down occured. Anyone that included an accidental tangle of legs as one fighter backed up and one attacked as a "dirty tactic" has shown they are utterly biased.

Peterson clinched too and came in with his head low. Did Khan push? Yes. Did he hold the head down? Yes. It happens in every fight and ironically it happened even more in many of the old fights that people now try and hold up as some golden era where people all fought with style and heart. Where losing your 0 did not automatically mean you were a bum or exposed, and yet those same people who have Harry Greb in their top ten P4P lists will ***** and whine about Hatton holding, or Mayweather using the forearm or Khan pushing or whoever their irrational hatred happens to be focused on.

Peterson fought well, Khans total lack of any inside game and his laying on the ropes cost him. I felt he edged the fight, but have no problem with Peterson winning. I do have a problem with a ref deducting two points for such innocuous fouls and for saying "Khan Khan Khan" in every clinch, every disputable moment.

I can't really think of an incident, but it surely can't be the first. Can it? I just think of it like one of those rarely enforced laws like married women not being allowed to go fishing alone on Sunday's or being allowed to shoot the Welsh with bows and arrows.

Both sides were dirty, no doubt. The issue is only 1 fighter lost 2 points and got the warnings. Thats the gripe. Even if Khan didn't lose those 2 points, I think the fight was close.

The other video's far better, just the 50 two armed pushes from Khan to create space and stop Lamont working.
