HBO wouldn't have shown Khan-Prescott. That's why it didn't happen.

Breidis Prescott. That would help to reinstill some sense of invincibility en route to a Peterson rematch.

Why should a fighter need or want his own pet ref...the guy on saturday was ****ing awful. All world title fights with fighters from two didfferent countries should be ooficiated across the board by neutrals. What the **** was Khan thinking agreeing to two yank judges and a yank ref, he must be light in the head.

  5. I agree.

If I was a foreigner coming here I'd insist on it not being a British ref. Actually if I was British I'd try and insist on a foreign ref :yep

For some reason, I always thought that in America the local commission nominated a referee and a panel of judges, and it was up to the respective camps to voice any objection should they wish to do so?

Though I'm sure that in fight week there was an argument between the Haye and Klitschko camps as to who the referee was, Haye wanted Luis Pabon and Klitschko wanted someone else?

It's just a shame that there aren't referees like Padilla anymore. Not that it would have helped Khan much on Saturday.

I really don't see how the ref was that bad. And if anything it was evened out. Khan was perhaps a little unlucky with one or two point deductions, but Peterson was also unlucky to have a knockdown ruled against him in the first when he got pushed over.

I've never seen a referee unable to get his fat ass out of the way and as a consequence actually trip a fighter (who looked to be going down from a punch) and then have to call it a slip. That was in the first two minutes of the fight for ****sakes. There are more experienced refs on the club circuit
