    Poor example,
i respect anybodies right to choose whichever form of religion they wish to practice, but for a guy who is happy to CHEAT to win a decision,i find the SOG tag to be very very hypocritical.

    Damn right he does. :patsch

...did you have a counter-argument proving he doesn't? Or your own definition of who qualifies for 'average punching power'?

    I'm all ears. :think

Ward does not cheat. The style in which he operates in makes him a little careless with his dome, but he does not purposefully headbutt his opponents. So, to relay his accidental infringements to label him as a religious hypocrite, is rather silly.

nope, it most likely wont change your thoughts on the matter, in fact, it's more or less subjective, especially on this board, I was just showing you that I totally disagree with your assessment, and so would most.

"thou shalt headbutt every man you ever fight"

    The Bible- Holyfield/Ward version.

Why are quoting my assessment in a sarcastic fashion then? :blood

Ask yourself who are the punchers at 168, and what kind of chins they've been fighting against.

Then watch round 5 of Kessler vs Froch. Compare the 2 right crosses Froch lands flush on Kessler mid-round, their effect on Kessler, to whatever instances had you rank the rest of the top 10 at 168 purely based on punching power.

I came out of that with "slightly above average". I don't think it's " :patsch " off.

So its ok to lead with your head, clinch, and elbow your opponent,as long as its your "style" and not intentional ?
So i guess Hatton was a master technician as well then, seeing as he bent the rules to beat Tyszu ?

All greatfighters bend the rules one way or the other (whether they're fully intentional or not). Ali would pull down heads, Wlad leans on everyone, Mayweather uses his elbows, Hopkins does all kindsa' ****. I could go on forever. I agree that some of Ward's stuff is not pleasant to watch at all. In fact, it's horrible at times. However, it's still not any excuse for me to attack his personal character.

This is the toughest fight for me in a long time. I love both fighters so I'll be rooting for both. May the best man win.

you can find the answer to your first question in my second post on the matter, in the meantime, I disagree wholeheartedly still. either way, it's completely subjective, so have your opinions that most would deem off base:lol:

I'm not attacking his character for what he does,i just think its a little cheap,to proclaim yourself SOG,but be willing to be dishonest in order to win.
The points you've raised are valid, but the SOG bit still doesn't sit well with me.

so he uses a few tricks of the trade inside the squared circle, and you use that as basis to question his wholly religious nickname?:nut you're taking it way, way, way too far. I'd understand if antonio margarito called himself SOG, or Luis Resto, but Andre Ward? get your **** together.
