Amir Khan vs Lamont Peterson **DIRTY Highlights** 2011 HD

Khan did the same in the Maidana fight, he had no points taken in that fight. I watched it again tonight and you could argue he fouled more against Maidana then he did Peterson.

Both fights have proven that Khan hates when fighters pressure him, instead of fighting out of it he just holds or pushes his opponent.

 

Almost like no fighter has pushed before, must be in the twilight zone. Because this **** happens every fight.

 

Just rewatched the fight and Khan spent most second half of the fight either running or talking to ref asking him to break and watch Peterson's head. He threw the fight away cos of his stupidity.

 

You clearly are as I don't recall Khan being deducted a point just for pushing someone once. He got deducted points for doing it over 50 times despite all the countless requests and warnings for him to stop doing it.

 

I wasn't counting, didn't seem all that bad to me. Peterson made his own fair share of fouls, also pushed quite a bit.

 

Come on Maidana threw the elbow deliberately thinking it was Khan behind him, it was patently obvious

He's obviously been watching PBF but hasn't quite honed the elbow in the grill technique quite yet

The first 6 incidents on that video weren't dirty.

All the pushing was stupid though, mixed with the grabbing of the head and pushing down and he deserved to have points taken.

 

AMIR KHAN faces being left in the wilderness after Lamont Peterson insisted he would not be bullied into a rematch. Team Khan have claimed a return will take place, but Peterson’s manager and trainer Barry Hunter says no deal has been struck.

Peterson, 27, is a free agent after snatching the Bolton boxer’s IBF and WBA light-welterweight titles at the weekend.

He has been offered a seven figure purse for a May 19 rematch in Los Angeles but is also weighing up a rematch with WBO titleholder Timothy Bradley, that only man to defeat him.

Hunter warned: “If it doesn’t make sense to me or Lamont, I don’t care what happens. I’m not going to let nobody bully us. I have got to do what is best and right for Lamont. Lamont said it best. A rematch has to make business sense.

 

Yeah Hunter said that if the belt sanctioning bodies order an immediate rematch due to the controversy and they don't feel like rematching Khan they would give up the belts.

Khan looked to the referee for help in breaking them apart when the referee clearly said fight on. Khan concentrated on the referee, fought on pure instinct. I wonder why Roach never asked Khan to not look at the ref. Peterson concentrated on the fight and on winning. It could have gone either way very close call but the last point deduction seemed very harsh.

Watch any fight and you'll see plenty of pushing. If it hadn't been for the ref docking the points I doubt the it would've even occurred to the Peterson camp to complain about it. It should've been a complete non issue.
To take points off was beyond a farce. I've never seen anything so ridiculous in a title fight before.

 

I think it was a close fight both guys just trying to make it there fight and bullying .Nothing too serious tbh man but a warnings a warning .Khan should just have stepped back and let his hands go more. Hard works not easy though man .
