Dawson\Hopkins changed to a NC!

Hopkins was being a twat, he got what he wanted

 

That applies to all of us. On the other hand both the WBC and the CSAC saw an illegal move ending the fight before it really started, and changed the result accordingly.

You need to let it go IB, it's the correct call, it was always the correct call. There was no boxing match between Mr. Hopkins and Mr. Chad, and there was certainly no legal boxing ending, therefore it's an ND. The TKO ruling was illegit by the rules, the WBC noted it and the NSAC changed accordingly. And that's that.

 

I don't disagree that NC is the right call. I happen to think it is the right call.

What I disagree with is people who feel it ought to have been a DQ, or that Dawson at all intentionally "threw" Hopkins - or that he threw him at all.

Hopkins jumped on him. He shrugged him off. Hopkins got hurt. NC. Simple as that.

The ones who need to give it a rest are the ones prattling on about "BODY SLAMS" and judo tosses and MMA/WWE comments (like you yourself just made in Kirk's thread). **** off with all that. Fair decision.

Chad can't do a single-leg or whatever that results in an injury and get the victory.

 

I feel kinda pathetic for saying it but when i still watched wrestling over 15 years ago i think the move Chad did was called a Spinebuster and not a powerbomb.

Either way the move was illegal, he grabbed the leg and put him on his back and that was not a shrug.
Everybody with the IQ higher than my shoesize could see that this fight would be ruled a ND, it was the right decision then its the right decision now.

No matter how people wanna cry/scream/say Hopkins faked it, reality is that the fight ended on a illegal move so it should be a ND and Dawson is lucky to not get a DQ loss.

I don't remember you agreeing on the NC back in Kirk's thread, quite the opposite, I remember you vehemently defending the BS TKO result while I looked up rules and showed that such an incident - accidental or intentional - is, in fact, ends with a no decision. Those are the rules. Those rules were not followed. The WBC found out this but with no power to change the decision they sent it to the CSAC who - what do you now - also realized the rules weren't followed. So the CSAC changed accordingly.

So no. I said NC is the proper result, you said TKO.

Anyways, who cares who said what, ND is the proper result. Everybody's allowed to judge the incident however they like, 'Hopkins escaped', 'Dawson escaped' whatever. Rules say such incident under 4 ends in ND, and rules were followed, let's just freaking move on...
