The ONLY reason I would be against it is because Pac already beat him and then Floyd could, and with good cause, be accused of taking on pac's leftovers. While it would be one ex-PAC opponent, it would be enough ammo for *******s in this forum to annoy the **** out me even more then they already do.

As it stands, I would watch Floyd-Cotto to see if my favorite fighter has what it takes to at least take a few rounds and maybe even look good against Mayweather. While I think Cotto loses, I think he loses for different reasons then he did against Pac.

Why not watch Floyd vs that jab that will apparently give him so much trouble. Not going to happen though.

Now that I think about it, if Martinez indeed fights barker in March or early next year, it takes away the second most credible opponent for Floyd. This is of course if the Pac fight falls through. Then with Amir's loss this past weekend, he's out of the drawing. If the three best options for Mayweather are then off the table, who's next? Who would you and the public want to see? No Ortiz rematch with his Berto fight scheduled. Also, obviously no Berto. Canelo is still too green. Most would say Bradley and Guerrero are too small, although some would and have given RG a shot if that fight happened. The Morales fight isnt a real option. Only guy left is Cotto. If they can't make the fight with Pac, Cotto is the lone, somewhat credible, opponent Floyd has left.*Especially coming off the win against Margo.

Cotto's earned the right to be the third option, and it's not a bad one. But Pac and Martinez are still options one and two respectively for Floyd's next fight.

Cotto-Floyd isn't a bad fight, bball. You know that just as well as I do. Martinez-Floyd just happens to be better is all.
