Why hasn't David Price taken an interim fight?

I mean he hasnt fought since june and wont until the end of January, I understand that Mcdermott has had injuries, but Price is 11-0 he needs to be kept busy, not fight twice a year like a champion, couldnt he even have fought a latvian road sweeper in the middle somewhere?

Price has been learning his trade as a sparring partner for the last couple of years to people like Sosnowski, Solis, Haye and the Klitchkos. I'll agree that it's a little fustrating that he hasn't made more progress but I'd bet he's come on leaps and bounds as a result. I've got very high hopes for him in the next few years.

PRice career has been a mess. So much promise with 3 fights in the first half of 2011. Good wins and then the McD fight delayed even more. PRice is a bronze medalist and should be further along and more popular than this.

khan was commonwealth champ by this stage, degale has been british/euro and price needs to have this mcd fight then get it on with fury.

To be fair, Nipple, he was with Hayemaker. Once Hayemaker lost Setenta Price was in limbo and only Maloney came in.

He'll have learnt more sparring those guys than 20 fights against the likes of guys Maloney would be putting in front of him.

It's ironic that his pro career has mirrored that of fellow super heavyweight bronze medalist Glazkov, who as well only has a pathetic 10 fights to his name since 2009. Both men aren't even young, around 27. In theory one of those you would of thought would have challenged for a title by now or at least got close to it.

He definately needs to be more active else he will just end up getting beat when he starts to step up, plus he must be pretty skint!

True, a good age to start being more active though, late 20's, he's only had 11 fights, 9 more in 3years and he'll be 30 and ready for titles.

    Sounds along way off!!!

If he stayed as an amateur, those guys were getting paid about £75k a year with expenses and regular fights. I think they may have even stepped it up because I remember they were worried about losing all their boxing talent to the pros so they were trying to keep them.
