I don't recall Ward saying Green or Bika weren't worthy of facing him because their comp wasn't on par with his.

They're indirectly saying that Bute is a very tough challenge and they'd much prefer to face a more used up model prior to facing him, in order to help their odds with such a matchup.

It's an indirect compliment because they recognize his worth as a fighter. I also understand their line of thought where one guy hasn't been put through the same as them. Thing is, he wasn't invited on purpose and now they're trying to correct that huge mistake.

The winner needs to face Bute before being proclaimed the real best SMW in the world.

Maybe you could just expand on that by stating that Bute is a very dangerous opponent for whoever wins AND loses the S6.Anyone who thinks Bute will be an easy fight for both will be in for a shock.However maybe you should acknowledge that both will be by far the hardest opponents Bute has EVER faced and that while there is a valid reason for Bute not being in the S6,the price he may have to pay is accept these guys carry a bit more juice for now and to prove himself and have the wider audience accept him he may have to fight them for a lesser share at least until he beats one of them.

Bute will have to be faced.I'm sure deep down Ward knows that and Froch definitely does.
Like it or not it's the cold,hard truth.Just a pity some people have to write childish nonsense about it.Unfortunately for Bute the S6 means Froch and Ward carry a bit more credibility.Again,it's just a cold,hard fact for now.

 

Neither Froch or Ward will duck a nobody like Bute. Neither are they gonna act like there's an urgent need to fight him. He does nothing for them because for the last 3 years he's just sat in Canada posing and fighting B level fighters.

Froch and Ward will fight one another this weekend, then they will take a rest and think about what's best for their futures. My guess is that neither are willing to accomodate Bute's manager's desires because neither has to.

Whoever wins the S6 can honestly say they are the best SMW in world having defeated the best available contenders, whereas Bute cannot.
Bute needs the S6 finalists much more than they need him because, they don't need him.
I expect one or the other, likely the loser of this weekend's bout will face Bute sometime in mid 2012, defeat him and that will be the last we will have to endure hearing about this hype.

 

Bute has grown on me since he decided to take the rematch with Andrade. I wouldnt consider myself a full blown fan and I must admit I havent been able to give him a fair shake since he was gifted the win vs Andrade in their first bout. He proved he was the better fighter and boxer and he still has a couple of mountains to conquer before being considered p4p.

At this stage I would hard pressed to claim he defeats Ward, he would have a better chance vs Carl but he would still be in a world of hurt the way Glenn was able to land.

Hilarious how Bika, Miranda and Green are considered good opponents....**** even Abraham proved to be completely useless at SMW in losing every round to Dirrell and Froch. Yet the Bute fought Bika and Miranda and beat them far easier and gets no credit for it...... Not saying he should get massive credit but neither should Ward. All Ward has worth anything on his resume is injured Kessler. Bute has oldman Johnson slightly lower ranking win than Wards over Kessler but overall Bute's body of work is better, Andrade at the time was a better SMW than anyone Wards beaten besides Kessler, as is Johnson.

The only top fighter Ward has fought is a smaller abraham and kessler who he headbutted to a TD

Bute beat Bika more convincingly than Ward

Bute dominated Glen Johnson who KO'd a fighter Ward couldnt

Bute knocked out Miranda - Ward couldnt


Wards top 5 wins are = Kessler TD - Abraham UD - Bika UD - Miranda UD - Green UD

Butes top 5 wins are = Johnson UD - Bika UD - Andrade TKO - Miranda TKO - Zuniga TKO

I considered this to be a phrase that makes little sense. It was formed by 3 non-related sentences. Also, the last remark he made I found it profoundly untrue.

The way I decided to answer this was by using sarcasm. According to dictionary.com sarcasm is 1. harsh or bitter derision or irony and 2. a sharply ironical taunt; sneering or cutting remark. Its synonyms are: sardonicism, bitterness, ridicule.

So I replied by saying: "Bute beat Johnson with ease, especially if he wants to fight in LA next year, Froch is gay. "

Sentence no. 1: Bute beat Johnson with ease
Sentence no. 2: especially if he wants to fight in LA next year
Sentence no. 3: Froch is gay - UNTRUE

As you may remember, I just said that his sentences, even if used in the same phrase were unrelated. Using sarcasm I composed a phrase with 3 sentences, also unrelated.
Now pay attention here: I said I found his last remark about Bute low-balling Kessler to be profoundly untrue. Once again I used sarcasm and I said something that I find profoundly untrue. Therefore my "Froch is gay" comment.
I hope it makes sense now.

Short version: It does not matter what I wrote there but what I was thinking. And I was in no way thinking that Froch is gay.

I wonder how funny you'd find it if I wrote that about Bute.Like I said,you've been quick to jump on my posts,I'm fairly sure(happy to be corrected of course) that I've never directly addressed a post of yours without first receiving a comment from you.You were quite happy to jump on my back when Dece Bal was bang out of order(thread deleted as far as I can see(again,happy to be corrected) so don't start crying when I take exception to something I am perfectly entitled to.
I've proved pretty emphatically I'm no Bute hater.I have good,lively and sometimes very funny debate with some hardcore Bute fans,so if I want to take exception to something I wouldn't expect other fans not to,I jolly well will.
