He's got a good win over Adamek and two sets of wins over past it Tarver and Johnson (one of which was a gift) and he's been chasing Hopkins his whole career and when he finally get's his chance he bottles it and uses his infamous hook leg takedown (as demonstrated below)

And now we're all meant to feel bad/sorry for Dawson :patsch

You could be of the opinion that Hopkins faked it etc. but the cold hard facts are that without Hopkins, Dawson fades away into being a nobody amongst boxings finest and it's his own fault :deal

Dawson will never get to fight another boxer as good as Hopkins, he'll never get to fight on PPV again and he'll never get the recognition of other fighters near his weight class (see Andre Ward, Lucian Bute, Carl Froch and Hopkins himself)

The funniest thing about it all is how Dawson outright rejected a rematch on multiple occasions when he thought he had been gifted the fight and now that he's lost his belts he all of a sudden wants the rematch :nut:lol:

Hopkins bitched out, predictably, and used his promoting power to get his ***** move overturned. He was well on his way to getting shut out by a younger faster better opponent, and will now plague us with his shitty performances for a few more years.

I shame too, but the younger Hopkins was a damned good fighter. Now he's turned into a 20 pound heavier version of Kermit Cintron. OUCH

why he was unbeaten a while ago and he was good vs pascal although he lost. still dude beat adamek and yes at the end he muscles X around and would have won via UD or TKO at the end.

Hopkins ducked Dawson for years, this is fact and then when Dawson finally got his shot Hopkins does this in the fight.

Just curious, but did you think Pascal was well on his way to shutting Hopkins out after he dropped him twice before the 3rd round ended?

Hopkins wanted nothing to do with Dawson. With Pascal it was just a matter of whethering the early rounds and then letting his superior technique carry him to a decision win. With Dawson however, he was fighting someone who was hungry for the win, somebody capable of matching him in the technique department but also someone who had the athletic superiority.

I reckon Dawson would have won a comfortable decision win or even a late round TKO. The title should have been suspended pending the result of an immediate rematch.

Dawson right now is the no.1 LHW. He slipped up against Pascal but I think a slight attitude adjustment will set him back on the track of p4p contention.

What are you talking about. With Hopkins the fight had 40k on ppv. Hopkins is not exactly a big draw himself.

Hopkins jumped on Dawson back then faked an injury. Don't blame Dawson for his play acting.

I agree. Suppose Hopkins gets stripped of the WBC and Ring Mag LHWT title and makes millions fighting one SMW or a CW. Who cares what is Chad dawson's next fight even if it is for the WBC title?... Chad needs Bernard.

the only thing I dont understand is how people can make such bold assessments after 2 rounds "hopkins knew he was going to be stopped so he bitched out" or "dawson knew he couldnt win so he slammed hopkins out of frustration" it was two rounds TWO!! what are you people seeing that im not? hopkins was looking like he wouldnt makeit past four in the first pascal fight and in the dawson fight pascal was beating chad before chad stepped on the gas but how can you make these statements after less that 6 minutes?
